As long as we’re in the ACC, I don’t buy the tough schedule talk. Two tough opponents doesn’t make a tough schedule. If you offered this schedule to anyone in the BIG or SEC, they would take it in an instant.
Why would you want to slice a pie two, four, or six more ways?
Is there that much money to go around?
I can’t imagine Florida wanting to split money with FSU or Miami.
Or South Carolina splitting theirs with Clemson.
I can’t see UNC leaving without Duke or for that matter SEC basketball. I’m pretty sure VT and UVA are tied at the hip. I’m like you, UVA does not resemble SEC in any fashion.
Doesn’t matter to me whether we go or not.
But I’m not thrilled about seeing Rutgers, Maryland, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin, Purdue, Illinois, Northwestern, or present day Nebraska.
Just as soon see Louisville and Wake Forest.
From the outside looking in, looks like there will be three strong conferences when the dust settles with the ACC being third. If we could lock up ND, I’d be fine with that. And i can’t imagine FSU, Clemson, or anyone else jumping out of a small pond to get eaten in the big pond.
Does our President want us to have a great sports program?
Does our AD?
Does our Head Coaches?
We need to look in the mirror and do some soul searching.
