absolutely coach wants this! he'd never hear the end of this loss from his detractors.
as for this being the same GS team as last year, it's not. there was nothing to play for last year. new year and ambitious goals with the move to FBS. yes, they're run first oriented but Fritz's O is not the...
call southern fans crazy, but they don't travel away in plans of showing well or moral victories. now, that doesn't mean they don't know the reality of expectations.
i'll say this, most stakeholders in GT football don't see this as anything but another cupcake before the real season starts. that's understandable and vegas will most likely agree. remember, wofford beat southern last year . . . ;)
i'd have to agree. i went over and checked the NC state forum and they're beating their D up over the game but hardly giving any props to the fact that ODU has an incredible QB. i did see one post where a state fan tried to reality check the others and mention how good heinicke is, but they just...
think there were 5 total passes--2 for long TDs. and, i don't mean short passes with long runs but long passes right on the money to WRs. the only dropped pass would have been a TD. the receiver was so open he dropped the friggin ball. oops! ellison's 1st pass was a gorgeous over the shoulder TD...
i witnessed the eagles run outta gas last week in raleigh. tough to watch. i figured they'd leave a gouge on sav st. tonight after last week's disappointing loss to state that never should have happened. left tonight's game at paulson at the beginning of the 4th. i think fritz had suited up the...
Decent passer + decent receivers = decent passing game.
If we're running the ball well and just decent at passing this O is gonna put up all the points needed to win. Let's see whether the D can help out.
Exactly my thoughts of a few years ago when UVA lined up those big boys and had their way with us. Just too much beef to stop. We still should have won that damn game, though.
he's definitely bigger than last year. and, he's slippery so someone popping him square is a little less likely unless he's blindsided. vad played scared in this O last year and didn't protect himself. he paid the price and became gunshy. JT will be fine if he plays his game and readies for hits...
with so little DL depth and experience, it seems like a no-brainer they'd line up and cram the ball down our throats till we prove we can stop them. hope they don't!
reminded me of southern's raymond gross or greg hill. they used to pull those "oh sh!+" pitches outta thin air as well. i love it! playmakers are in there to do just that--make plays. good on justin!
as boomer mentioned, nice to see justin taking to the option like a duck to water and no more...
I agree with you 100% on his commitment. But, the NFL is so "what have you done for me lately" and caught up in "measureables" if he has a blowout year and impresses at the combine I doubt most teams would care about the past few years.
