now, if we had a BB who's a second level threat ala JD. that's not a knock on synjyn or zach, just an honest assessment of what's needed to get this O clicking like it did in the greg hill/adrian peterson days of the option like CPJ fielded while he was at southern.
actually, the worm burner onside kick to the the middle of the field can be very effective if executed correctly. but, you've gotta have just the right speed and touch on the ball for your kicker to basically run right next to the ball and every one else has their sights on knocking the other...
i think the defensive gameball should go to JT! i don't think we win that game without holding the ball for 40 minutes and punching in scores. because of his ability, CPJ can go balls out like he used to which is damn nice to see!
the D doesn't have to be lights out when our O and ST's are...
I'd say that game is a close 2nd to the best experience I've had at a GT game under CPJ. First is the ACCCG we won in Tampa. Nice and chilly in Tampa, too, for that game.
with the move up bringing in more revenue is a work in progress--no doubt about it. winning will go a long way in helping create an environment where folks are willing to pay more for tickets and up their donations. getting the ATL crowd of alum more involved is a start. southern's alum base is...
if fritz has a similar trajectory as monken at GS there's no doubt in my mind he'll be gone within 3-5 years. depending upon coaches that get canned in the next couple of years it could be sooner. he hasn't been a HC for over two decades to settle for $500k/year. someone dangle a $1M+ at him and...
i don't think you can even classify luginbill with quotes as an expert! i've seen his ridiculous comments on many teams blow up in his face. it's win/win for this dufus to say "sell" in his mind, most likely. if he's wrong he'll spin it to make himself look good somehow so there's never any...
He was also hyping Synjyn as the next star QB a few years ago when there was hardly a peep outta camp about his performance. Dude was talking outta his ***.
plain and simple, JT is carrying this team to victories. something we haven't seen since nesbitt and it's damn refreshing. his ability to improvise and keep plays alive when it hits the fan is a huge step up over vad's ineptitude to handle the pressure and tevin's absence of physical tools...
yep. that D was bend don't break BUT they manned up when the time called for it. someone played balls out when we needed it. who's going to step up now? we need someone to be like derrick or morgan--or friggin' cooper taylor back in '08 during FSU game--and, make something happen when we need it...
