PJ says in talking about our QB's leadership , wtte, if your are on the line bustin your hump trying to block and giving it all you got, you want the guys behind you doing the same.
hmmmm. That was subtle.
The "whupping" seems excessive if he had already apologized to the entire class. Glad it turned out well; I have read some serial killer bios of guys who were humiliated in public like that.
It obviously worked, so why question the method.
If we have a stout defense that holds the score down, then the offense won't put up the gaudy passing numbers to get the attention of the Heisman voters. When we get a decent lead, we go into death march mode and very little passing. IMO, passing should not be required for a QB to win the Heisman.
I might understand reopening this wound if he had produced a top tier defense, since he failed to teach his defensive scheme to arguably the most intelligent football team(see FB grad rates) in the country, he needed to go.
Nothing to see here…move along
I hope JT is better than TB. Roddy Jones said something last night about JT having the ability to turn a short gain into a 70 touchdown, while TB can run the offense and get the 10 to 15 yard gains which is all you need in this offense. So either way, our QB situation is looking good.
I have a slightly different question.
Will the QB hype be better this year than the QB hype last year???
I'm curious to hear some answers since at this point, all we have is hope/hype.
Those of you who want to change coaches every three or four years....This is one reason why it is important to stick with CPJ. Coming from Navy, he understands the academics necessary to complete a degree at GT. He has now gained the trust of the President due to the grad rate of his players.
