Tech vs Clemson - Game Predictions & Questions

As Saban says, “don’t let a failure go to waste”. Learn from this game, and win the next one.

    ACC 2023-2024

BC was happy to eke out a win against the Citadel. Is this a year with a lot of ACC teams in the tourney, or just UVA, UNC, Duke, Miami, and someone else?

    Clemson favored early spread

They don’t necessarily have a bad running game. It just hasn’t been the key to them winning

Tech vs Clemson - Game Predictions & Questions

They have given up a silly amount of points due to turnovers, such as pick6’s. It can be tough to overcome that. Hopefully, we wind up on the right side of the turnover equation

Roof’s efficiency numbers and other stats were also about the best we had under CPJ. I think Kelly’s half season might have been the best. It’s weird we gripe about Roof when he outperformed the other defensive coaches

    CFP Discussion

Computer models can be biased, and don’t have a way to say “I watched these teams and Penn State tackles better and plays more solid defense”. One the plus side, they don’t say to the press “we’re going to pick the teams that have earned it” one day and then turn around and pick a Bama team...

    11/9 - MBB vs. Howard

Stoudamire said before the season that the defense and playing hard on both sides of the court was what he considered success. I don’t know if we play with a lot of pace, but the scores on both sides are pretty high.

    11/9 - MBB vs. Howard

I only got to see the last few minutes. Really glad to start 2-0 vs an early season loss. I’m glad to see us scoring 80+. I’d like to see us hold down opponents scores more.

When we looked at head coaches, the typical hire for a P5 head coach seems to roughly go in this order G5 head coach: most common P5 coordinator Internal promotion P5 head coach Other NFL position coach P5 assistant HC P5 position coach...

    Clemson favored early spread

We have won only one game where we scored less than 30, and that was Miami, and it took a near-miracle. Clemson also only won one game when they scored less than 30, and that was the Wake game: 17-12. A pick-6 was the difference in the Notre Dame game—Clemson’s offense scored 24 there. Notre...

    Potential DC for Next Year

This thread isn’t really a “who could be our next DC?” thread as much as a venting session about our defense and fans remembering only the good or bad stuff about past defenses. We probably have next year’s DC. He’s this year’s DC. The yardstick is going to be real progress. Is the defense...

    Conference Realignment

I’d like to see resumé without the scare quotes. It’s a good question whether the championship shot goes to the teams with the best body of work, or the one people think has the best shot at winning. It’s easier to judge a team’s body of work. Having a secret selection process opens up all kind...
