    2017 Bowl Projections

Or maybe the godawful I Bowl in Shrevevegas in one of the few road trips I wholeheartedly regret.

    UGA update

notre dame, though, has looked pretty good, other than the Georgia game. Granted, they weren't playing murderers' row, but they have looked very good offensively against lesser competition. The SEC East remains really weak. South Carolina isn't very good. Kentucky is still Kentucky. And...

Pat Narduzzi Joins the Block Haters Club

And PJ talked about how much respect he has for Narduzzi during his weekly presser. I get the feeling PJ won't be so pleasant to him Saturday when they talk in person before the game.

    CPJ & Nebraska

If you ask PJ about Hawaii, he'd go back ... as soon as they build that bridge. He's got a place in the North Carolina mountains. Plus, in the offseason, he's got some good courses in the Atlanta area he can play. think he's very happy where he's at. He was well off before he came to Tech. It...

    Lack of coverage

I don't blame them. Pitt got housed, NC State played a FCS team. Maybe they could have paid attention to Va Tech blasting ECU, but ECU is just plain bad. Clemson taking a big steaming dump on Louisville is the big news in a couple of ways. It cements Clemson as a top 2 team and it pretty much...

    Pitt. @ G.T.(12:20 p.m.)

I wonder if Toledo wins will their coach say it was just like beating Penn State? I'm ok with noon kicks. Yeah, it means getting up much earlier. But then you've got a lot of football left to watch, starting with the 3:30 games. Someone could put that time to use with, uh, some "refreshments"...

    Jacksonville State Postgame Discussion

And in Statesboro, after a 22-12 loss to a ranked FCS team in a game that was at one point 22-0, the Eagle faithful are in near mutiny. The point is, never assume a win over a FCS team just because there are 22 extra scholarships with which to play. Top flight FCS teams are no pushovers. Ask PJ...

    Lack of coverage

A big layoff. NFL guys like Ed Werder, baseball writer Jayson Stark, some of the on air talent (can't remember her first name but last name is Walsh) got let go a few months ago. Dr. Jerry Punch was one of the casualties. Bunch of their NHL people got cut loose.

    Jacksonville State Postgame Discussion

Haven't seen a lot of big plays/blitzes from Corey Griffin yet this year, and he made several big plays that way a year ago.

    Lack of coverage

When ESPN laid off about 100 or so folks a few months ago, I think at least one was one of their ACC writers. Their SEC coverage took a hit, too, as at least one of their SEC writers, a guy who had been at the Columbus (Ga) paper, was told thanks for all the fish.

    ACC Discussion 2017

Auburn is stout defensively but Clemson was impressive tonight. They looked championship caliber on D tonight. I quit watching UGa-ND at halftime. I had a bad feeling about that. Never been a Brian Kelly fan and he undercoached Smart tonight.

    Channel 11 sports- Jeff Hullinger!!!!!

Or Calvin Schiraldi's wild pitch earlier in the inning. Or that the Sox led 3-0 in the 5th in the next game before melting down. Buckner also was a good base stealer until he broke his ankle with the Dodgers. The kicker didn't need to be in that spot with the game on his foot. The two fumbles...

A Nugget from the post game press conference.

As much confidence as I have in Jordan, I really do think the offense gets another dimension with Marshall pulling the trigger. I think we're good with either one at QB, but Marshall really surprised me Monday night. I think we're onto something with him as the starter. Like PJ said, he was a...

    Jacksonville state game week

They're pretty good defensively but Chattanooga had to go with their backup QB all game long after the NCAA, the day before the game, suspended the starter for four games for academic issues - even though he is on track to graduate in December. Backup really struggled. JSU wasn't all that...
