  1. Serious Question - BG's buyout

No. Way to much questionable financial info floating around. IMO the problem is not the CBG buyout, it is the CPH payoff.
  2. Pro Day Info

    Are they transferring to Stanford?
  3. CBG buyout = $2.4 million

Keeping him another year reduces the buyout by $1 million. And when doing numbers the cost of attendance stipend for SA on ships has to be factored into the numbers. Bobinski really needs to find a few deep pockets from the Tech community and get a handout as in McCamish and the Brock Indoor...

  6. Who do we hire?

RE Mike White at La Tech from the La Tech bio: "...multiple conference championships and postseason appearances which played a huge part in him agreeing to a new six-year, $3.6 million contract extension on April 3." http://www.latechsports.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/white_michael00.html I must...
  7. Who do we hire?

Georgia Tech has hired "Techmen" as head coaches before. How did it work out?
  8. Who do we hire?

"In just his first three seasons at the helm of the Georgia State program, Ron Hunter has restored it to national prominence, averaging more than 20 wins per year and making a pair of postseason appearances. In three years, Hunter has led the program to 62 wins, including two of the three best...
  9. Notre Dame rumor, ACC expansion, & NBC contract

Maybe South Carolina returns to the ACC?
  10. Notre Dame rumor, ACC expansion, & NBC contract

Speaking of Louisville, I have some coastal property in eastern part of KY I would let go pretty cheap. Maybe swap for some coastal property in Indiana.
  11. Notre Dame rumor, ACC expansion, & NBC contract

GT is a member of the Association of American Universities. The other ACC members of the AAU are Duke, UNC, Pitt and UVa. That's it! Notre Dame is not a member. Locally Emory is a member. Academics have not been a factor in inviting membership in the ACC.
  12. UNC Game Thread

'We are on the edge of becoming irrelevant in basketball. Since 1994-95 we have had 2 seasons we finished above 500 in ACC play. 2! 95-96 and 03-04. That's it!' "irrelevant in basketball" - this is where UGA has been for a long while. To his credit Fox has slowly been pulling them back from...

If you can't hit free throws, you are a loser. KY 30 - 0.
  14. CTR

Bottom line is that Roof and Pelton played 14 games with a total of 3 effective DT. Complain about stats all you want, no other team in the country was able to do that!
  15. UNC

See his from NBC - does the NCAA have UNC's back? Something smells in Chapel Hill. ollegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/03/01/report-says-unc-took-advantage-of-grad-school-to-extend-eligibility-of-players/?ocid=Yahoo&partner=ya5nbcs
  16. CBG

Best post by anyone in months! Last paragraph is the finest of gems.
  17. CBG

Using these numbers: The win - loss in conference games for GT from 1981 through 2011 is 206 - 254. GT had a winning conference record in the 30 Cremins/Hewitt years only 7 times. Cremins had a winning conference record only 6 of 19 seasons. I have no idea how Boninski will factor these numbers...
  18. CBG

Where do you believe they will transfer if CBG is fired? Or will they? Does anyone know if Bobinski has a history re firing under performing coaches?
  19. CPJ's learning curve at GT

This is my belief also, except I simply do not know on the Regents part. But the GTAA and Institute Admin tight wads have earned my scorn. Edit: If I am wrong will be the first to apologize.
  20. Coaches on the Hot Seat

Will Bobinski ask fans, or just grads, to vote?
