Papers should "follow" the crowd if they want to stay in business. If I owned a company and had to choose, I would rather anger Tech fans than dwag fans simply because of the numbers. It is a myth that reporters are all objective, they are doing business. Hopefully we will do well enough to...
A big difference appears to be in points allowed by the defense. So far only 2 people this year predict 20 points or more for Tulane (an average of about 11 points) whereas it appeared, from a quick review, that last year's average prediction appears to be in the mid 20's. Tulane was more of an...
CPJ certainly is in the best position to decide and it is his decision. I would think the Tulane game will give us insight into what his decision will be although having Christian for an extra year (so he can play more years with his baby brother :)) sounds good to me.
Candidly since he has gone off elsewhere, I would prefer a uni thread to a Vad thread (and I don't care for uni-threads). Hope he does well for himself.
Keith has just over 1000 yards over the past 3 years (last year only 12 carries). If the first game is an accurate indicator, little bro may exceed that in year one at TECH.
On Searcy's long run down the right side he made a defensive player with the angle on him miss...somehow. If he is really that hard to hit solidly, then we will have a great one to watch for several years.
If there is data on games missed by starting quarterbacks due to injury, that would be interesting. I certainly don't know if that data is kept. Certainly there is subjectivity in the minor injury area that would seem to make it difficult to rate even if the data was available. Alcorn state is...
Not that long ago TCU and Baylor would not have had high expectations. They have MADE believers out of many pundits. My hope I that we are headed dwn that same road.
Showing my age but going to Grant field as a kid I couldn't wait to get a program like the one below. Loved the nose! The 1966 Tennessee game was about the best since Dewey Warren (from my hometown Savannah) was the QB for a top 10 ranked Tennessee team many in Savannah were pulling for them...
Mine was a cynical response to those who always assume that an offense like ours will have far more QB injuries than typical offenses and that someone of JeT's size will be even less likely to stay injury free. (Remember also that JN's broken arm came during an effort to make a tackle.)...
In the Ugag game a mesh with Laskey went wrong and he came within a hair of fumbling. Had we lost a fumble then, the chances are small that we come out victorious. I would think that his extensive experience may have kept that fumble from occurring. Hopefully when fumbles are lost this year they...
But "triple option" quarterbacks get hurt so often and little JeT can't take the pounding so we need at least 5 ;). We have been blessed with few QB injuries and hopefully that continues.
I recall being upset when he rolled out in the endzone and literally stepped past the endline for a safety. I never thought quarterback was his best position but he certainly gave it all he had on the field and I loved him for that. A real warrior to be proud of.
