I have a pair in section 109 Callaway Club and a pair in section 101. Won't be using them. Happy to sell below face value to Tech fans / board folks (face is $125 each for Callaway and $40 for section 101)
Both tickets are mid court. 101 tix are row 21 109 are row 17 in the club
Definitely looked a little gimpy on the bad ankle when he came back in. Having Tad back tomorrow will help relieve some of the game pressure on him and hopefully a couple days of treatment will get him back to full speed
I just hope the fans come out to support the team. Last year we built a great home court atmosphere over the last 4 or 5 games. I was hoping that would carry over, but the thriller dome was 80% empty and morgue-like last night. We need better turnout and the kids deserve much better support
Glad our FT defense was so good today. If Bethune Cookman shot 50% from the line, we lose. They were wretched. 10-25. We got tremendously lucky this wasn't an RPI killing loss. (Missing JO & Tad is obviously huge, but we should still never worry about winning over Bethune Cookman)
That sucks for Johnson. Hope it's minor and that he's back on court soon. I don't like UNCheat, but Johnson seems like a decent kid. And after the BS Stallings pulled, I hope he has a really good year (just not when he plays us)
Agree 100%. He looks like a four-year depth guy. Maybe he will grow / develop and become a guy you don't like to go against, but for now he looks like a practice player who sees limited mop-up duty in OOC blowouts
I've only watched first half (I'm not @Peacone36 I need my sleep!). Lammers was a stud. Jose looked more ready for college game than I expected. Moses, Cole and CGB looked like lost freshmen in the part I saw but that's normal for game one, esp against quality opponent.
AD and JMo are...
I'm psyched that we start with UCLA and get national TV audience.
Rest of the ACC is opening with Elon, Detroit Mercy, Northern Iowa, Cornell, VMI, Western Carolina, UNCG, Maine, GA Southern, Gardner-Webb & Navy. Not exactly murderers' row
Do we know if Donbte Ron ever gave money to Alexander Tharp Fund or Tech Fund? If he gave a nickel, he's a booster according to NCAA rules. (i get that letter every year from the schools I donate to)
Recording phone calls can be illegal. Depends on the state you're in, etc. Generally a bad idea to do it unless you inform all parties on the phone that you are recording the call.
holy crap. shoplifting in a foreign country. a country with laws & justice system that aren't smiled upon in the human rights circle. can't think of many more foolish things they could've done.
If the pic of JO & TJ in the pool are accurate, the "NCAA" has precedent of viewing that as an impermissible benefit. (see, UNLV 1990. Anderson Hunt and others in hot tub with a booster) That incident didn't involve airfare, staying at the booster's house etc. If Bell provided airfare...
I don't know the kid personally, so can't say whether he's a good kid, bad kid or some other kind of kid. With that disclaimer, his attitude on and off the court at EYBL, combined with his followers (all with Young Bull attire) made me question whether I wanted him on our roster from the first...
It's really hard to tell much about ACC games before anyone has actually played, but I think our ceiling is 10-8 and bottom is 7-11. That's based on our schedule (incl home / away bias) and a lot of whiskey-induced confidence in my ability to predict performance three months out. :)
@Peacone36 I have same outlook you do on OOC games. Think Yale could tip our way given that it's a later game and we'll be at full strength and in mid-season form.
