Outside of money, why would anyone go to Auburn? Alabama casts a huge shadow. Much more now than in any time after Bear. I would not like to play Georgia, Alabama, LSU, and A&M every year. Soon to be OU and Texas.

Whoever we pick, I think our goal should be 9-10 wins a year minimum. In the ACC we should be favored every year except Clemson, FSU, and maybe Miami. Georgia will always be favored, but it should be a dog fight every year.

The offense has to improve. 20 points per game does not beat many teams not named Duke.

We really need to get the offense on track during the bye week. It gets the pressure off the defense.

To answer your question OP. Accurate passing, ball control, 3rd down success, and leadership. That’s the reason they are elusive. But, we have made several below average QBs look like Hiesman candidates over the years.

He and Kirby have similar backgrounds. They know how the Alabama machine worked. But, supposedly, so did G******.

Well reading between the lines on the three AD candidates: will they want their present coach to follow them. Army? Auburn? Ga State? One has ties also with the Kansas coach.
