I'm leaning toward thinking GT,Appalachian State,Ole Miss and Louisiana-Lafayette will beat Georgia Southern and they'll finish 7-5 probably going to the Camellia Bowl in Mobile. GSU has fallen off from 2015
Bear Bryant went 10-1 in 1950 at Kentucky and beat Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl and got an engraved lighter while Adolph Rupp won the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship in 1949 and got a Cadillac.
I agree with you,Sideways. I think Kentucky will open their pocketbook wide and hire Charley Strong as the next UK head football coach. Charley could rev his head coaching career back up by guiding Kentucky to 2-3 Bowl Games in a row then leaving for a better head coaching gig.
The big money backers at Texas want Charlie Strong gone and that's all it takes at Texas. The Texas AD said the coaching change would take place in December.
Les Miles loves big offensive line and big running backs utilizing a strong running game. Getting the big offensive line and running backs would be a lot harder at GT than it was at LSU.
The Sunbelt Conference is having a bit of a down season and i think the team going to the New Orleans Bowl will be the winner of the GSU-Appalachian State game which is played the week after the GSU-GT game.
GSU 7-0 on a 61 run by LA Ramsby. Arkansas State's program has really fallen off this season thet're 0-4. I think the seeming head coaching turnstyle at ASU has finally bitten them in the arse.
Pat Fitzgerald would be a good future GT head football coach candidate if he's fired by Northwestern. He's done wonders there. Charlie Strong at GT would get a lot of national press coverage and bring in a lot of recruits. I think Charlie could be the head coach at Kentucky in 2017 however.
