Nothing happened until Sports Illustrated, TV talking heads and the press got behind the “what-the-heck-is-Tech-waiting-for” inquiry of Tech fans. What it means is that the powers that be do not like bad, national media about Georgia Tech, as it tarnishes the image of the school overall.

It may be time to call the Big Ten and beg for an invite. If they say “yes, effective when the ACC GOR goes away or expires”, the GTAA could borrow enough to pay a good coach and structure a deferred payment plan on the loan in anticipation of the increased Big Ten payouts.

Maybe they will announce the elimination of Tech football, since the transition from TO cannot be successfully accomplished. Of course, that would be somewhat anticlimactic since Collins has already decimated the program…

I am going to get ahead and shift to the end of this thread and say that the Tech-Dwag game should be his last game. (In case TStan or a new AD lack the gumption or the wherewithal to make it happen sooner.)

Sadly, you have to start wondering which players are already reaching out to other programs. Players, recruits and fans ALL need to know who is coming and the sooner the better.

For you business/corporate types, if Collins has any aspirations of ever getting a HC position again, would it be better for his resume to have three 3 win seasons and a partial season asterisk or three 3-win seasons and fourth season with only 1, 2 or 3 wins?
