I did notice that he likes the word "encumber". Doesn't necessarily use it right, but whatever. He won us a national championship. I'll let it slide. ;)
It’s part of being in a big city where lots of transplants live. There are tons of alumni of other schools living in Atlanta. Many schools have more alums here than GT does.
Spot on?
Recruiting is a huge part of a coaches job. You can’t excuse that away. Being “a couple players away” sounds nice and easy, but 2/5 is 40% of your lineup. It’d be like saying Collins is only 9 guys away.
Hate seeing 2 guys from Old Dominion, several guys from Maryland , and, of course, tons of guys from UGA get drafted, and then not a single GT guy get taken.
That will change.
Several posters made comments to the effect of “our QB/WR/RB will be fine” (after a Spring Game where the defense is severely limited, mind you).
Seems pretty innocuous for me to essentially add the caveat of: If our Oline comes together and can execute new blocking schemes, they will be...
Because they don’t play in a vacuum. QB’s gotta have time to throw, RB’s have to have lanes, etc.
I’m expecting the OL to struggle for a little while. Hope I’m wrong.
