    Clemson Postgame

    - Tre Swilling is a beast - Jordan Mason looked really good even with the OL playing against a great DL - Jerry Howard also looked good - Ahmarean Brown looks like a player - The DBs are probably going to be the strength of the defense this year - James Graham has that “give me the ball” look...

NCAA denies waivers for Clayton, Ezzard; Sims granted immediate eligibility

He absolutely is. He claims he wants kids to have a free transfer but then, at best, doesn't do anything to help the guys LEAVING Michigan and at worst makes sure Michigan hurts their ability to leave and play immediately. If he really was sincere in wanting all kids to have a free transfer...

NCAA denies waivers for Clayton, Ezzard; Sims granted immediate eligibility

This is how every coach should handle kids who want to transfer. Let them go. Wish them well no matter what. It will always reflect positively on the school and the coach.

I agree with them regarding Peter Warrick.

NCAA denies waivers for Clayton, Ezzard; Sims granted immediate eligibility

About Sims and Harbaugh... I recall that while Harbaugh says he is in favor of kids getting a free transfer he also spoke out that kids are making bogus mental health type claims as the reason for deserving waivers. I’m paraphrasing quite a bit but he was complaining that once kids realize that...

    Media exposure

Many traditional newspapers are coming to the realization that in order to survive they have to morph themselves into providing content across all the new media in bites that are comfortable for people of today to consume. The ones that make this transition better will stick around. The rest...

    Media exposure

We can't do anything about the relative size of the fanbases. But our program can do two things to help get more positive coverage (note I'm not suggesting equal or even close to the same volume). The first is to win more, and clearly our AD has GT's sights set on that and our coaches are...

    Coach Collins Interview

True. But he has a microphone and if being nice to him gets him to use that microphone to say Go Jackets in a positive way more often than he ever has and gives that microphone to CGC more often then I'm all for it (though I still won't listen to Steak).

ACC Coaches Anonymously Talk about Conference Foes

It's entirely possible that some of the people being interviewed are not ignorant. Perhaps they just see things on film and have a different opinion than some of us about the challenges and our ability to overcome them. I think it's perfectly reasonable for someone to look at our team and...

    Tech offense

Listening this summer to a bunch of NFL Radio discussions by Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan and they were giving their ratings of each team’s “11 personnel” groups. That’s 1 RB, 1 TE, 3 WR. They did that because it’s apparently the dominant grouping in the NFL right now by a large margin. Of course...

    Duplicate Numbers

I’m sure none of our coaches have ever thought of that

    Expectations?

That's a good point about momentum and returning players. There's absolutely the potential for that when you have a coaching transition after a couple of excellent seasons. Unfortunately for Collins the 2017 Temple Owls lost quite a lot of production from the 2016 Temple Owls. For example: -...

    Expectations?

I think Matt Rhule is a fantastic coach but let's not forget that the Baylor team he took over had gone 7-6 with Jim Grobe (formerly HC at Wake Forest) as the head coach and Rhule coached THAT team to a 1 win season. I'm not at all discounting that they were still reeling from the Briles...

    Jeff Schultz Column

If you don't mind me asking, which article was that? I haven't read any of hers that stood out to me as perpetuating myths or even really talking much about the former staff. I'm not disagreeing with you nor trying to convince you to shell out any money for a subscription. I happen to like...

    Jeff Schultz Column

I agree completely. I think she does a terrific job of giving us good content on GT and she doesn't come at it with an obvious bias against GT or towards UGA. I like that she clearly appreciates the opportunity she has and is working very hard to be worthy of the faith The Athletic had in...

    The Lew Effect

BTW If you say you weren't trying find error then I'll take your word for it. But be aware that it sure sounded like you were looking for a way to criticize something entirely positive.

    The Lew Effect

Actually this has nothing to do with who it is. I was, and still am, a huge fan and supporter of CPJ and his staff. The post in question felt, and still feels, as if it is searching for a way to be critical of something entirely positive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Actually I read and comprehend just fine. I never said you were “assigning” any fault. I said that what you are posting, and I actually did read the whole thread, was looking for fault which is defined not only as assigning blame but “an unattractive or unsatisfactory feature”. It is this...
