The fact that TM was perfect or near perfect on reading his options is the most important thing to me. That makes this offense hum. And he was really great today. If we can get that kind of performance from him on making the right reads, then the rest of the season will be fun.
It just seems like TQM has regressed significantly at reading the TO dating back a little after midseason last year. He just doesn’t seem to be able to make the correct read on options anymore. Ever. If we are going to run this offense we have to have someone at QB that is able to make the reads.
Why do some of y’all hate the TO so much? Seriously, I Gailey’s offense was just terrible. That is something I would loathe to come back to GT. The TO has been very successful and actually has, for the most part, put up better numbers than Ralph Fridgen’s offense. While Ralph’s offense had...
If you don’t think CPJ can be stubborn in his play calling the you haven’t watched him very much. At a minimum once a game he calls back to back plays of the same call where it was stuffed the first go around. If he thinks it’s there he is going to keep calling, be fanned it the results change...
The reason they are not executing is because they are not trusting the play called and the play of their teammates to work, so they are trying to do something different. Now there are plays here and their like the long drop or the over throws. But, a lot of the problems are when we have a lead...
The problem I see is not necessarily the talent. Seems just a bit more talented than most of CPJ's teams. The problem I see this year is trust. The players do not seem to trust the system. Both offensively and defensively. I said several times TM's major problem is reading the triple...
Must not be an ACL. I know CPJ said something to the affect of it being something different, but then he said it was basically the same as his high school injury which was an acl. So I got confused.
I’ve torn 3 ACLs. I’m much more worried about the awkward plant than the hit because his foot wasn’t planted when hit. Muscle strength around the knee is key to being able to tell without an MRI about an ACL tear. My knee, the ortho could tell immediately that I tore my knee up. I had a TA at...
The ACC is horrible this year. Look at UNC getting DESTROYED by a really bad ECU team. FSU almost lost to Stamford when Sameford committed 5 TURNOVERS. VT dominated a bad FSU team. Miami got destroyed by a mediocre LSU team that will finish at the bottom of the SEC West. Clemson is very...
I’m pretty sure CPJ has always had atleast 1 kicker and 1 punter and 1 long snapper on scholarship. There are plenty of very valid criticisms of him, but that isn’t one.
Why do we continuously have to have the calculus discussion. It is what it is.
Now I just finished watching the 1st half again. I think the people that think we lost because TM was put back in are delusional. TM played a really good have. Best I could tell I think he missed two reads and...
A couple of observations:
1. No question in my mind who the #1 BBack is. In fact KB is by far the hardest BBack we have had to tackle. Dude is just a beast.
2. Our QB is going to be fine. His vision is there. He had a few balls come out of his hand a little awkward. Hell When I was...
OMG the unjustified complaining on this board. I certainly don’t see anything wrong he said about anything. Also his tone was much better than in many of his other interviews. The comments about Tech’s record was after he basically answered the same stupid question 3 times. And it was a...
Yes TM needs to complete some more passes, but toward the end of the year I think the real problem was missed reads on the TO so much so that we stopped running the TO. The reads have got to get much better and then we will hum.
