  1. First Above The Line Depth Chart Released

LOL. At least for me on this board, no! I don’t think so, either. It would be interesting, at least to me anyway, to see what our players will think about this “ATL” stuff themselves after several games this season. Other than the Citadel game, I don’t think every player on the ATL list will...
  2. Ye Olde Question: What will be the first offensive play on Thursday?

It’s going to be interesting to see what Patenaude can accomplish with the players he has on the offensive side. I feel sorry for Patenaude. It’s certainly not a good thing to have the defending national champions as your season-opening opponent. And to top it off, the game is on national...
  3. ESPN: Georgia Tech restoring football program to former glory

CGC certainly has installed the branding, marketing, and advertising infrastructure to attract wide public attention to Georgia Tech’s football program. It all needs to be reinforced in reality by a lot of wins on the gridiron—and at a high level on a consistent annual basis. I believe a...
  4. First Above The Line Depth Chart Released

No, I did not miss the coach’s concept of listing “Above the Line.” I have been well aware of it. What I’m interested in is the position groupings specifically for C, RG, LG, RT and LT. Perhaps all of the ATL OL positions are interchangeable? I don’t know. In any case, it’s still unclear to me.
  5. First Above The Line Depth Chart Released

Not clear. Confusing. “Offensive Line” list is crazy. Who are the starters and backups at center, LG, RG, LT, and RT?
  6. 404 takeover with Coach Collins in Fox Sports South

I watched it on Fox Sports South on my AT&T U-Verse tv. It was boring, actually. Did not learn anything new, nor of any other real significance about the team.
  7. Fixing court color at McCamish

Yeah. ‘Ol T-Stan should have stayed with the original Russell Southern floor painter who had done a great job for years before new The Adidas crew came along. LOL

  9. ACC Network Updates

Excellent article about the new ACC Network in this morning’s (Aug. 22) New York Times: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/22/sports/ncaafootball/acc-network-espn.html
  10. ACC Network Updates

Hey stech, I’m also still on AT&T U-Verse. If U-Verse still doesn’t carry the ACC Network by the second week of September, I will move to YouTube for my TV and keep AT&T for my internet service. In my area, my son-in-law has YouTube for his TV at $45 per month, and AT&T for his internet...
  11. The Expenses of Recruiting

Well, to me, it looks like a good bit of GT’s current football recruiting under CGC is branding and marketing through a heavy emphasis on tweets. And the use of Twitter is free. So I guess we will see if this “recruiting strategy” helps over the next five years, I suppose.
  12. New Gray Uniforms with Children's Healthcare

Well, to me, a special edition white and gold uniform could have been designed and selected for this special children’s charity game. But such a thing was not considered, apparently.

  15. CGC reminds him of Butch Jones

From the Temple sideline last year. Will it work at GT? Don’t know ... remains to be determined.
  16. CGC reminds him of Butch Jones

I do, too. Remember that year when CPJ tried that shotgun formation and diamond offense with Vad Lee at quarterback? It didn’t work very well...

  18. CGC reminds him of Butch Jones

To YJMD, well you know, I’ve already said numerous times before, I think CGC has—and should be given—a minimum of 5 years to prove his worth as head coach at Georgia Tech. It would be interesting to see how CGC’s future 5-year record at GT would compare with that of Butch Jones’s 5-year...
  19. CGC reminds him of Butch Jones

    Here’s Butch Jones’s record as head coach at Tennessee, for what it’s worth (if any): 2013-2017 (5 years) 2013: 5-7 (2-6 SEC) 2014: 7-6 (3-5 SEC) 2015: 9-4 (5-3 SEC) 2016: 9-4 (4-4 SEC) 2017: 4-6 (0-6 SEC) TOTAL: 34-27 (14-24 SEC)
