Groh ran a 2 gap system. Nate Woody doesn’t. The players may line up the same, but they are different. It is true in order to run an effective 2 gap you need guys like UGA and Bama are recruiting, but that isn’t the case for what NW is doing.

We had turnovers in bunches the last 5 games if I recall. The first half of the season we gave up a ridiculous amount of points if I’m remembering correctly . Even despite the turnovers, we still weren’t very good on D. Didn’t we set a record for most yards given up in an Orange Bowl?

I don’t know the exact stats, but in 14 the O #s as an outlier had to do with 2 things: 1. Explosive plays- it seemed we led the country in plays greater than 30 yards. 2. We generated a lot more turnovers on D. The last two years the O production numbers have to be somewhat effected by this

Walt talks more GT football then the hacks at 680 and knows significantly more about our players and coaches. I listen to that guy whenever I can on the tuneIn app. He is top notch when it comes to college football across the board

That should also be evaluated. We may need youth and energy in the S&C area. Look at some of our guys that came in at 240ish as freshmen playing on the DL. They havent gained jack squat in good weight in 4 years? How is this possible?

Agree. Both teams played in the rain. Miami seemed like they handled it just fine. In my opinion CPJ lost confidence and got uber conservative on O. Not playing Howard was an example.

Look, I'm angry about the loss as well, but unless we lose out from here, PJ isn't getting canned. I'm sure in 2014 after we lost to Duke and NC back to back there was plenty of gnashing of teeth and calling for folks to be fired. A lot can happen the rest of the year, both good and bad

Next week will be the indicator of how the rest of the season will go IMO. Emotional loss and a potential look ahead to Clemson. Loose next week and it can spiral out of control. Win and we have a fighting chance to get to 8 wins.

I can't comment as to what is wrong with Shamire, but my observation was Will Bryan and Parker Braun played very well down the stretch. Perhaps the lack of playing time had more to do with how those guys stepped up
