  1. Killer Instinct

Nice thread: my thoughts- The option as we run it is a very disciplined offense, the majority of high school teams that run it are private schools - the college teams are service academies or smaller schools that need the advantage to compete. We need that advantage with our academic rigors...

  3. Kevin Cone

Can anyone tell me his NFL status after this weekend? Thanks
  4. GT (-29.5) vs. Wofford

I believe it was like 2008 that Gardner Webb came into the flats and outside of a blocked field goal at the end had everyone on edge, just saying! Cheer the boys on and use home field for the advantage and don't take it lightly. Terriers do not have anything to lose!
  5. Scrimmage 8/16

Awbuzz, got it. No more fluff. Sorry- I still will not comment on an individual kid! Team is pumped, very uptempo, I for one am excited. Passes need to be roll out with the o-line gating, D up front Is awsome - d backs need to bump receivers more at the line and not let them clear...
  6. Scrimmage 8/16

Watched the scrimmage: will not (hopefully) speak of any individual athlete. My observations- Defense- D line was much bigger and more athletic then I was expecting after reading several different boards. Line backers (swarm) and pursue but snuffed out several counters and reverses. D backs...
  7. Practice Reports 8/12

FYI: on injuries with concussions, many high schools do it and GT as well as any college team worth brass does it. When you report you take a concussion test on the computer- most kids tell me they have trouble with it when they are healthy, After an injury you have to pass this test (of...
  8. 8/9 Georgia Tech Scrimmage

When a player at this level goes back home and goes to his old high school game- he says. Wow, this is so slow. Our offense at this time is alittle slow, however, the option is an 11 man game, and it will be smooth and quick as we go thru each week. If 11 guys run it- you will not stop it...
  9. Fan Day

Boomer, great to meet you and the other guys- I missed Roddy, we have known them and lost against him since he was the best running back in high school, he is one of those guys you look at and say "That is what I want my son to be like" he is an impressive man.
  10. Practice #1

Not to be accepted but, to be eligible immediately. Otherwise you sit a year
  11. Fan Day

First year to go- but, sounds like a good day to tailgate, everyone outside get to know one another then head into the festivities. Just saying!
  12. Recruiting Comparison Across Years

And some kids they have been recruiting since 9th/10th grade - some worked out as they grew up some did not. You are reading to much into it!
  13. Why are UGA fans so obnoxious?

My wife is a UGA grad. According to my mother in-law the most obnoxious thing she ever did was marry me!!
  14. Roster Updated with Walk On's

Eric, please correct me if I am wrong or if you can add something - Danny D: all teams have a spring practice and game- the players that participate are the current roster players and incoming freshmen that start school in january, All the other recruited scholie players that sign in February...
  15. Roster Updated with Walk On's

You can only have 85 on scholie: Preferred walk-ons come in during summer and join them for the max of 105 during fall camp, Regular walk ons that had the grades and were accepted into the school on their own come in after school starts, but the overall roster after all is done will be back down...
  16. Roster Updated with Walk On's

You can only have 105 players report for fall camp: all others show up after camp and fall semester starts
