Illinois state goes down as both teams decided fouling up 1 with less than 5 seconds was the optimum choice ...
All # 1 seeds in the NIT have been eliminated and next highest seed is #2 Illinois.
It would be interesting to try and get them behind GT. The overlap in season ticket holders between falcons and atl united is like 8% or something (read the number somewhere and will have to find it). This indicates a combination of tapping into an entirely different fan base present in Atlanta...
I know home court advantage is not fun to play against but I think it's cool that our coach did this and he's doing it too. Puts butts in seats and creates an entertaining product for us outside of the NCAAT
What alternate universe are we in where the ACC cleaned up in football this post season and the SEC laid an egg and the reverse is occurring in basketball?
Set a record for most wins by a conference in the tournament just the other year and now this... yikes. Oh well. If UNC and Duke fall along with gonzaga I probably win my bracket pool.
Small victories
I know some people are very anti soccer and that's fine. I'm a huge soccer fan. But as someone who goes to the games and someone who will cut off an arm to attend every GT home game (haven't missed one in 10 years) I think we need to point to atl united to show how intimidating Bobby Dodd is...
He struggled the first game too... thought he'd bounce back.
I went with an ACC homer bracket too even though I was skeptical about how good we actually were. Gonna bite me in the butt haha. Have one bracket with Kansas winning and one with Arizona so if either happen could save me since each...
The key to beating WVU is to just press them back. That's how most teams have beat them this year. Also them hitting a 3 every time ND closes the gap has been killer. ND needs to be aggressive and draw fouls bc they're good at the line and it'll affect how WVU presses
Yea I've said I thought the acc had a bit of the sec football effect this year. Look OOC and we didn't have a bunch of good wins. We got beat. WVU and Nova beat UVA. UNC lost to Indiana and Kentucky. Those are just two that stand out to me. Hopefully they can get it together. ESP ND bc I have...
And again... another sellout

Only 45,000 bc construction in the north endzone is eliminating some seat capacity while it's going on.
They've been on fire from 3, but uva isn't the team to close a gap with their slow play and bad offense.
Honestly my fear all season is that the ACC wasn't as good as we thought (like SEC football). We got beat OOC a lot to start the year
Apparently even though Maten played in the SEC tournament he suffered a setback and he and UGAs 3rd leading scorer both sat that game. So it was JJ Frazier vs Belmont essentially. He scored 29. Rest of UGA scores 40.
One more home game for a chance at the Syracuse rubber match.
