4 new assistants when Collins joined

"I just think to me no matter where you are, the expectation level needs to meet the commitment," Johnson said...
He asked, pretty publicly even, for additional support in recruiting and staff members and never got that. Collins comes in and immediately gets 3 extra assistants. Big boosters played dumb games with trying to “starve the beast” to get Johnson out and look at where it got us.
man if Chadwell...
I mean of course Leipold’s a safer/better choice but that’s also the reason the market will command a much much higher price for him than chadwell. Someone of chadwell’s profile is probably the safest bet we can make with our budget. It doesn’t get much better than winning across 3 programs and...
If Stansbury wasn't fired because we would still have Collins as our coach and the team wouldn't have improved enough to consider keeping any part of this staff intact. The very fact the president had to go above the AD's head to fire the coach meant the AD had to be removed too because he...
He's apparently a huge jerk to work with. That was one of the big rumors on /r/cfb around the time of his firing from what I recall. The fact that he's not currently employed in football and wasn't retained even as an analyst when a new coach came into the browns doesn't really speak highly to...
Are they actually the exception? I don't ask this sarcastically but I'm genuinely curious. I'm grasping at straws to think of any lower division coaches who were dominant and then failed at the P5 level off the top of my head.
While I’m shocked Wisconsin fired him this early in the season, it’s been clear Wisconsin has been treading water in a weak division kept afloat by a dominant defense. The architect of that defense is who most of the wiscy fans want as HC and he’s getting the interim role. Not getting the best...
Appreciate you stopping by and giving a thorough scouting report. Very curious to see how our team responds to a tumultuous week. With everything we have going on and y'all having a pretty decent team I took the over this week.
You can contribute with specific comments on how the money should be spent. I contributed in light of Cabrera's recent actions and seeming to get the bigger picture.
Faulting him for an institutional failure is an interesting choice. They vacated wins across the 3 major sports for player eligibility. In a functioning athletic association that shouldn’t be the responsibility of the head coach and I think you’re attributing to malice what can easily be...
Removing his Tech ties, what about his resume screams college head coach to you? He has 0 head coaching experience and most of his time is in the NFL. Let’s leave his legacy intact as a Tech great.
It’s interesting how we can watch the same thing and feel very differently. One of the qualifiers is “forcible contact to the head or neck area” I viewed the defender’s actions as rotating out the way, not launching and while there was contact with the head, not forcible imho.
He got caught out on the sidelines on at least one possession where clemson went fast to prevent us substituting. I noticed him in early the next drive. I think some of it was situational.
Y'all should really just google these kind of things before talking down our new coach who actually seems pretty decent.
Deshea Townshend called the plays in the Orange Bowl, not David Turner
Evidence
I could say the same thing about our running game last year. I don't have a ton of confidence to get consistent yardage running the ball up the middle on first down so why don't we just throw it instead. The reality is you can't be entirely predictable in whatever you do. Explosiveness is just...
