This is why I don't like knee jerk reactions when fans watch teams that are on our schedule later in the year. You have no idea what a team will be playing like 2 months from now or what injuries we or they will have.

I think we all understand the level of our opponent today was not high. I just think everyone was encouraged by what they saw from the D, regardless of the other team. The D will be a work in progress all season.

This is pretty much true for any D. If you blitz, and don’t get there, you stand a good chance to get burned on the back end.

9+ wins this year would be a very good season considering the schedule we have.

If our D has a “stellar” year, which I’m not predicting, that means we’ve probably won a crap load of games and I’ll live with whatever that may bring coaching wise.
