I never have been too concerned about our offense and our defense certainly appears superior to last year. My concern is things out of our control such as injuries, refs and ball bounces. Let's stomp Dook!
The biggest UNC "mouth" in the office ranted about our "illegal cut" blocking last year, thinking it was chop blocking. I told him that to be so ignorant, he must have taken the same classes as the UNC athletes. Badly want to beat them as well.
My companies main office is in Raleigh and I deal with UNC and Dook alumni regularly so I want Dook to be beaten like the "Tulane" that they are. I want GT fans to outnumber their fans by halftime and Cootlif sending out resumes for assistant QB coach positions after the game after calling CPJ...
The Bad-no undefeated season
The Good- we learned how we can be beaten, where we need to improve etc prior to starting divisional games and all goals are still possible.
We can learn much from this loss and our play for the rest of the year can benefit from it.
Orwin had a "slipperiness" that made people miss at times when it seemed like he would surely be tackled (e.g. the touchdown in the Sunbowl vs USCw) and, although it is early, I see the same ability with Qua. Hopefully this weeks game will confirm that opinion.
Back when I played, when plays were drawn up on a chalkboard you could see that if everyone got their block, the runner could take it all the way. What I love about our offense is that you can see that very thing unfold often during a game. Not that it doesn't happen some times with other teams...
I have 4 business friends from the Boston area. When we have a national meeting and dress is casual, most of them invariably wear Patriot/Red Sox paraphernalia. Sometimes they get together to talk about what they will collectively wear. No one else in our company does that. Our VP of sales...
I am just shocked there has been no comments on the helmet colors shown on the shirt. Surely that is worth a couple hundred posts :) Guess too few people have seen this.
There is not enough time/space to cover everything so choices must be made. It's like ESPN and the SEC, they have a financial investment in the SEC so there will be a "bias" toward it. Writers whose readers are largely dwag fans know where their "bread is buttered" as well. Success and great...
To me the key point right now is that CPJ thinks he should be #2 with Byerly out. That gives me some hope but there is so little history to go on. If we get to see him with the first string for at least a couple drives this weekend then we will know more.
