I used to never get flu shots. Then I had a kid, and the doctor explained to me how dumb I was being.
You don't get the flu shot for you. You get it for the herd immunity.
I didn't care for her at first. Newer articles seem better, and we're getting a good supply of them (basketball, too). I get the impression she needed to get to know the people she was covering.
FYI - she's a dwag, too. Maybe that had something to do with my initial opinion, but it's not like...
I think it's just a scheduling philosophy. I know our offense takes a little while to get going. It might serve us better to start the season against Alcorn St.
I'll be going. I actually did grad school in bburg. I haven't missed a Tech game there yet (good visits the last two years!).
The town just isn't equipped for such an influx of people. Hotels generally sell out well in advance of games. Roanoke won't be a fun trip the morning of, but it's...
Side note: if you want general ACC football coverage, Basketball Conference Podcast is good (the name is sarcastic). Joey Weaver from From The Rumble Seat and a VT alumn do recaps and previews every week. Sometimes a little unpolished, but it's a good listen overall.

I'll never advocate losing games in the interest of tournament seeding. But because we'd have to win both games to advance, that 4/5/9 pod looks much more appealing than the 1/8/12.
That would be great. Nothing against Hurter (I think he's performed very well) but having one of our weekend starters vs the mutts sounds like an upgrade to me.
Glad to see our RPI creeped up a little, even playing Radford.
Do we know who's pitching tomorrow, with usual Tuesday starter Hurter throwing yesterday?
The SEC is having a good year, and the ACC...not quite as good. I'm not an expert, but some projections I've seen show the SEC with 10 bids and the ACC with as few as 6.
Edit: but our #12 SOS should help.
So 3 games from .500. To get there, we'd need to finish 6-3. Win all three series 2-1 (including UVA on the road) or sweep WF or Duke.
I'm feeling silly even typing this out, but you never know. Go Jackets.
You're right - our weekend number are better than theirs. Pitt's ERA is worst in conference at 6.43, we're 5th-from-worst at 5.54.
We have the advantage, but not a huge one.
