  1. Crucial DPI on GT call. Video/GIf in post.

The refs weren’t very good on the pass interference calls. Receiver was often creating the contact.
  2. NC State Postgame

It’s easy to blame the coach for red zone problem, but some is on the players too. The false starts on the one yard line were on the players. I didn’t mind the fade route from the ten. If adonicas created a little more space off the sidelines, that’s a TD.
  3. NC State Postgame

I think there were a few where we were close to breaking it for a long td run, Gibbs might have
  4. NC State Postgame

Defense stepped up. The false starts back to back on the one yard line hurt us. Wish we attempted the fg late in the first after watching Stewart kick two in the second half. Thought the shoving was both ways on some of those pass interferences. Passing needs to improve next year. I felt like...
  5. Injury updates?

    This game just got harder
  6. Jahmyr Gibbs Plays Football Well

Besides being injured now, I’m sure teams are focusing on AB more than last year. He’s the one real threat that can take a pass to the house.
  7. A Thread to Rehash GT HC Comparisons

I’ll concede that Sims isn’t an elite talent like Lawrence (not many are). Sims is a guy who you’d like to develop for a year or two, and has the potential to be a very good college QB. I disagree with Gibbs though. I think he is an Elite talent and could put up numbers that rival Etienne.
  8. Need An Understanding On QB Play

I don’t think Jeff holds on to the ball too long. We actually haven’t been that prone to the sack most of the year. I do think Sims does a good job escaping pressure when he gives up on the routes but he needs more experience to work within the pocket and to keep his eyes down field when he...
  9. Ga Tech Placekicking Problems

Good question. The guy who I thought was going to be our kicker (Steven Verdisco) this year was injured. Hopefully he is back next year. I wouldn’t be surprised if another preferred walk on was offered. Maybe a scholarship would be offered in 2022 based on the recent struggles.
  10. GT - ND postgame thread

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one wondering why we would just stand at the line of scrimmage and let Book have extra time to find a receiver every time he rolled out.
  11. ACC Discussion 2020

He was 19/26 for 222 yards and a TD with no Ints in the first half. What more are you looking for In someone’s first start?
  12. Tucker Gleason

You have to earn your way on the field. Same in college football as in any sport. I’d love for Tucker to get some snaps and reps at QB this year, but given that Sims is still starting after all of the turnovers, I don’t think the QB1 competition is very close. I personally feel like we will...
  13. A Thread to Rehash GT HC Comparisons

I went to look up the 2018 defense stats and each site is all over the board. NCAA had us 33rd in yards but they had tech only playing 11 games. Another site had us 79th in points and 46th in yards with the correct 13 games. Another site had us 85th in points and 52nd in yards. I always felt...
  14. Defense regression

I’m not sure what has been more frustrating, watching Tech or the Falcons.
  15. BC Post Game Melt Down Thread

When the spring practices were canceled early, I was convinced Sims and Gleason wouldn’t be able to start due to lack of time in the system. I think the free year helped the decision to start sims not that he didn’t win the job. Joe had a redshirt year and still struggled, so I was prepared...
  16. BC Post Game Melt Down Thread

I still think Sims is the better QB from what I saw today, and I’d still start Sims. However, I think it’s fair for people to want a change at this point since we haven’t been protecting the ball.
  17. BC Post Game Melt Down Thread

What disappoints me the most is we continue to have terrible first quarters against teams we should be able to compete with. We have to clean up the turnovers as we basically handed them 21 pts with where we turned the ball over.
  18. Clemson Post-game Thread

Honestly, the Syracuse loss stung more than this one for me. Of course it was embarrassing to lose by that much, but Clemson looked really good in the Miami game last week. I was hoping we were going to be able to run the ball effectively, but if it weren’t for the last play of the game, we...
  19. remaining wins....

I wouldn’t judge our remaining year on this game. Even if we played a great game, we probably would have lost by 3+ TDs. We aren’t ready to compete with Clemson yet. I’ve said this before, but Sims should be learning from the sidelines this year. Unfortunately, we don’t have anyone better to...
  20. Clemson Post-game Thread

We were outclassed today. I thought we’d lose by a lot but not this bad. I thought the D did ok against the run early in the game but Clemson’s receivers were running wide open. It was too easy for Clemson and that was disappointing. Sims and the offense didn’t help the D. The offense really...
