Happy to see that you did not have the kicking game as one of the items. I think the kicking game is the area of most improvement.
Will go with coaching overall in this poll.
I give little to no value to opinions of sports writers. When does Mark Bradley get anything right. Like weathermen, "the experts" aren't all that accurate. The opinions of coaches has more credence.
However, most coaches will also tell you they can coach up players beyond their potential...
Augusta, what experts are you referring?
Unfortunately I do not remember, but one of the teams that played well today had two offensive lineman that were Freshmen and another Sophomore who were playing well.
Experts also predicted UNC would dominate the ACC. Enough of that.
I am not sure...
Is this the definition of winning ugly? As Tech fans we have to be happy to bring home a win today.
Tech has improved both in total offense and total defense in the ACC over last year, so I see that as a positive. Techs kicking game is improved over last year.
The next game versus Virginia...
Looks like @ilovetheoption diagramed how poorly the oline played against Pitt. One faction of this board is wondering why the oline played so poorly. The other faction is explaining why they played so poorly.
I am having a hard time going with the apologists. I will agree that a seasoned...
In my opinion, Gavin Stewart has been one of CGCs best pick ups. Not sure how to quantify field position on the number of touchbacks this year compared to the last two, but I bet is is significant.
Is he the younger brother of a former Tech wide receiver?
Lee
My issue is not that Tech played bad today. It was embarrassingly bad. Like last year and the year before, Tech got blown out. Last year I watched Clemson dominate Tech. The first half today was worse. The team was not ready to play. How does a well coached college team give up 42...
That was embarrassing. Had a Pitt fan sitting behind me. I welcomed him to Bobby Dodd Stadium at Grant Field and he gave me a blank stare. Wanted to be a good host.
At halftime he was surprised how poorly Tech played. As was I.
The first half was worse than Clemson last year. And...
What a great night. Had both my sons with me. Stadium seemed to be about half full. Some Carolina blue, but the Tech faithful turned out.
I agree with the post above. Tech fans were energized.
Some takeaways,
Made all field goals and extra points. (Even converted a 2 pointer)
Defense...
Sims had a year of starts and practice with the starters. I would also argue his experience is way above Yates.
I am also for either to be wildly successful.
