    Confirmation BG Will Be Retained

What if CBG is really the superman?

    Will we can Brian Gregory

Fair enough, I see what you mean. So, if there was no extension, we would have about a $1 million buyout (50% of Year 5 and 50% of Year 6 with the original 6-year-contract) right now instead of $2.4 million buyout. First of all, I was surprised by the extension at the time (and posted such on...

    Will we can Brian Gregory

Here is a slightly different look into why Bobinski's hands might have been tied as far as keeping Gregory until 2016: http://atlallday.com/2015/03/11/brian-gregory-georgia-tech-cant-afford-to-fire-him/

    Will we can Brian Gregory

We don't know if any of this is true. It's not reliable info. Until now, insiders were saying buyout was renegotiated to be smaller and Gregory is gone this week. Clearly, there is no reliable info and it's not fair to go after Bobinski with unreliable info. Everyone be more patient. Here is...

    Will we can Brian Gregory

My guess is he added a year to BG, because he knew we wouldn't have the finances to fire him at the end of last year or this year. On CPJ, he was looking for favorable terms, and he got a hell of favorable terms.

    Will we can Brian Gregory

Didn't Bobinski add only a single year to Gregory contract, which is reported by AJC to be $500k in terms of buyout? So all he did is to change the buyout from $1.9 million to $2.4 million. Brain and DRad are the main ones responsible for this. Former's Hewitt contract, and latter's hiring of...

    Pro Day Info

This makes me so sad. They cost the kid a lot of money in initial contract, but at least rookie contracts are smaller than the past these days. Probably caused by his height more than anything, but teams should look beyond that. A team is going to get a huge steal with him!

Judith Curry questions recent popular & peer-reviewed Global Warming Report

I also like this summary from Dr. Judith Curry a lot. I think there is some consensus she agrees with: http://judithcurry.com/2015/02/24/naruc-panel-discussion-on-climate-change/

NOAA&NASA: 2014 Warmest Year on Record

Curry actually had couple more guest posts on adjusted temperature records that we discussed in detail in this thread: http://judithcurry.com/2015/02/22/understanding-time-of-observation-bias/ http://judithcurry.com/2015/02/09/berkeley-earth-raw-versus-adjusted-temperature-data/ I think she is...

Judith Curry questions recent popular & peer-reviewed Global Warming Report

The new Science article by Steinman, Mann and Miller is not exactly a report in the sense that a committee came together and produced some sort of consensus document (as in IPCC reports). This is just a new paper by Steinman et al. The media articles are for sure horrible, unfortunately that's...

Anyone connected with Koch or Georgia Pacific?

I am not involved with either, but I have a friend who works for Koch in Atlanta. Let me know if (or how) I can be helpful through that.

Former GT Target - Shai McKenzie

But this was a guy we were after, so we didn't figure him out. Also, let's remember that we lost about half the 2013 class to attitude issues, even though nothing as bad as Shai Mckenzie, not even close to that...
