@Longestday was that you who called into the radio show tonight? If so, congrats on having Paul give you the elusive "that's a great question" compliment, along with noting that you are quite observant!
There was a show in the middle of the season a year or two ago, when Jim didn't call in at all. The regulars at the show were really worried that something had happened to him and we were all relieved when he called in as usual the next week.
Our group does before and after tailgating, although usually with fewer people afterward. I like it. We listen to postgame and by the time we leave almost all of the traffic is gone.
I will admit to flagging enthusiasm as the game goes on and it seems like we've had about 100 defensive third downs. But I still generally try to make some noise.
They did announce the uGA score one time on the PA late in our game. The crowd was pleased and there was a mighty roar.
But by the time they announcement came most people had seen it on the jumbotron, and several people around us were following the end of that game on their smart phones.
I just read the comments in this opponent Q&A post at FTRS, and feel dumber from contact with those U fans. What a bunch of arrogant a$$hats. http://www.fromtherumbleseat.com/2016/9/30/13121208/georgia-tech-football-opponent-q-a---miami
Why is it so hard for uGA fans to grasp that firing Richt and hiring a guy with no proven experience was incredibly risky? Sure, it might work out (but apparently not in 2016), but there is a large non-zero probability that they could be worse off.
In the past, this kind of weird stuff happened TO Clemson in Atlanta. Hope this is not the start of a reverse trend. We already have terrible luck playing uGA at home. We don't need another curse.
