Agree. Hopefully there has been a discussion with him regarding a scholarship. He may also have other academic scholarships we're not aware of to cover what Hope doesn't.

Where it is legal, is there a minimum age as with alcohol? If so, would he have been of age where pot is legal? And, as some state, it isn’t addictive why could he not stop?
