I am in favor of waiting to criticize MBob until he *actually* hires a coach. Engineers know you can't analyze experimental results before the experiment finishes. The guy has a track records of good BBall hires. Just let him do his thing.
I've been looking through the recruits BD has pulled in at Val. He has not had a single 4* or higher yet he has still made the NIT/NCAA 4 out of the 5 years. That's good to be some legit coaching right?
You make an excellent point sir, but let me explain why I think he has left the team in better shape than he found it:
1. We were on NCAA probation thanks to Hewitt's leadership. CBG avoided further violations, and we are now in the clear.
2. Our Academic Progress Rate was awful. Now we...
He unequivocally improved our program. Our APR went way up, and we have had few discipline/behavior problems with him in charge. I think he did a good job. That being said I did want him to be fired IF and ONLY IF we have real money to make a top tier hire. CBG was the inexpensive hire...
Sad to hear it, but at the same time I am actually glad to hear it. I am no doctor or neurobiologist, but I don't see how his brain could completely recover from that trauma. I would be nervous for him every time he got hit. Luckily, it doesn't affect his ability to pay for a top notch...

The Rams have signed Laskey to a futures contract. Does anyone know what that means?
Coach Ray will not be retained as per AJC (paywall): http://www.myajc.com/news/sports/college/georgia-tech-special-teams-coordinator-ray-rychles/npxNt/?icmp=ajc_internallink_referralbox_free-to-premium-referral
I always liked him. Sad to see him go!

According to Fox Sports' "sources", Richt has been hired at Miami where he'll make 4 mil per year. He is said to be bringing Pruitt and Eason with him.
I say no, and it's for one reason: He is a poor disciplinarian. Great coach, great recruiter, but he just doesn't have control of his team. One of the many things to love about CPJ is that he enforces serious discipline on our team. You mess around and you're off the team. Boom. Done. How...

OP didn't post the last three characters of the link! Nice find though.
Is this what CTR is trying/hoping to do? I remember when he came here and said the 4-2-5 would pretty much be our base defense. He said it was because so many of our opponents do the HUNH/spread option stuff. Do you think CTR is capable of implementing this successfully?
