Since C19 is a Coronavirus, and there are many coronaviruses that have been around for a long time and will continue to, but you don’t abridge my freedoms for those, what are the parameters you would set to determine that it’s then ok to start restricting my freedoms?

Freedom of choice and individual responsibility is indeed a messy thing. I wish other people made good choices to: be an involved parent, finish their education, handle their finances responsibly, etc., but many, many people don’t, and then those of us that do end up paying for it in one form...

Yes, our ancestors came from somewhere else...because they were escaping tyranny, famine, abject poverty, etc to come make a life in a better situation, because the laws, culture, and principle values of America allows for that.

I really don’t give a damn what these other countries opinions of us are. We pull way more than our own weight, and we’ve saved many of their asses before. Also, that cafe didn’t make the people wear those pool noodles. It was something set up by a local TV crew to see what the reaction would be.

I actually think it is significant. It demonstrates blatant skewing of what actually happened. It’s not a one-off example either. Add it up and it causes unnecessary fear and anxiety.

Dishonest/deceptive reporting to skew the news negative.

I don’t even watch that much news, but I’ve seen this sort of thing several times.

I saw the same thing. Headline of the story says, “NBC News Medical Team Member Battles C19” and yet he’s tested negative negative 4 times! Only explanation given was, “well, he waited too long to get tested”. What? Then test for antibodies, so that you can be accurate in your reporting.
