So many consider this a big game for Kennesaw State, and in some regards, it is. They have their first chance to play a P5 and one's almost right next door. They could really plant their flag as a program with a win.
But Bohannon wants a playoff run. He really truly has bigger fish to fry. I...
You mean you're ok with the tongue out kinda yukking it up with the refs as he gets back to the sidelines, like this is something funny?
Ain't nothing about getting your *** kicked by a conference rival and getting the worst home shutout loss since Jesus was a child.
Looking back at that, I wonder what the players thought when they saw coach basically have their back in such a demonstrative way.
They probably thought Stoops wants none of CPJ.
So I had a guy who has been a Collins backer ask me — this was well before the end of the game — why I was so down on him.
I said, you know, losing to The Citadel was bad enough. 6-16 with 14 losses by double digits doesn't help, either.
But this?
And I proceeded to show him a clip on my phone...
I've known PJ a long time. Used to spend a lot of time with him. Haven't in the last several years but that's just life and circumstances getting in the way.
I'm here to say, PJ is a much, much better guy - and laugh out loud funny - than his detractors would want to believe. I owe him a lot...
Um, someone wanna tell Cunningham that Collins has yet to beat a team that finished with a winning record? That the FSU that was such a heavy favorite last year was a 3-win team too when it was said and done? And that 14 of the 17 losses have been by double digits?
Man, the premise Collins'...
somewhere buried deep in the records of this site is the story of Tobias Oliver's recruiting.
His main recruiter wasn't a position coach or the coach who has that area of Georgia.
It was PJ.
He also tried to close the deal with a 4 star CB, Corn Elder, by having him sit with him at a Tech...
Had been planning to go this Saturday but may not now. Not out of apathy or antipathy. May have some 9/11 events to be at. For those, I'll miss a Tech game. Even one against a coach I know pretty well and like a lot.
Talked about going to South Bend. Haven't really nailed that trip down one...
As for the offense Saturday night, it was a pretty good showing by the numbers - first downs total yards. Yates played his tail off. Mason did what Mason does - run mad.
However, what counts is only one number column. That's the one under Points.
Gotta score.
I've known Bohannon a long time. Really good guy.
His presser today was really good. He gets it.
Now, he's built that program from scratch. And they've been good at the FCS level - now in a good run of playoff appearances.
He couldn't afford Charles. CCK got more money from FSU. He wanted to stay and be DC and PJ wanted him but the money just wasn't there.
Paul went and got Ted.
And if PJ had the authority to can Wommack and Groh, why didn't he have the authority to fire CTR if he felt the need to make a change?
They were terrible last year. But so were we.
We're terrible this year. We'll have to see about FSU but they look closer to being competitive much more quickly.
Something everybody’s favorite whipping boy Mike Sewak said he learned from Bobby Dodd - make sure the first pass you call is one your QB can complete, even if it doesn’t gain much
I know Jeff pretty well anyway
But a good friend of mine talked to him about the South Carolina job
remember, he took over at southern after van gorder pretty much trashed the option - literally and metaphorically- and went 3-8 in his lone season in statesboro and then after Chris Hatcher’s 3...
