I’m tailgating at the Varsity and a drunk UCF fan walked up to us bragging about his Mardi Gras type beads. He asked “ what’s wrong with you Tech guys, why don’t you have beads?” He got PO’ed when I told him we don’t have beads, we just have real national championships.

So am I, but only as a consumer. (but probably not as much as Stech81).

I’ve never parked there. How early do you need to get there to get a spot and what type of tailgate activities can you do (small grill especially)? Thanks.

There are only 2 of us who are coming (less than the ATL guidance for 10 or more). My buddy is a great griller and really wants to tailgate. Does anyone have any suggestions about where we could go (off campus, of course)? A private lot , park , etc.

Maybe I was reading too much into it, but the ramblinwreck.com link that I put on the first page of this thread (which was updated/changed yesterday to the current verbiage) mentioned everything about social-distancing, etc being followed under a “Tailgating” heading. Oh well, at least we can...

FYI, I contacted the GT ticket office, and they said the bridge is considered on-campus. Therefore, no tailgating there. I am disappointed in the way this was handled. I wonder when this decision was made and why they waited till after season ticket holders had selected seats before they made...

This is a good question, and I wanted to bump it in case someone missed it and had an answer. Is this in the "footprint", and if not, are there any ATL restrictions that may apply?
