So with CPJ as our coach how many RB's have we lost early??

Instead of complaining about how many B-Backs haven't worked out as planned, my suggestion is to recruit outside of the box. Perhaps Larry Csonka, Earl Campbell, or Archie Griffin have some grandchildren that like to play option football. I'd start knocking on their doors.

Current BBack Situation: What say you???

No doubt Mills was, and is a very good RB. But what if he was was injured on the first play from scrimmage against the Vols in the season opener? I'd rather this all happen right now three weeks prior to kickoff. I'm sure the Yankees' fans were in a tailspin when First Baseman Wally Pipp went...

    Dedrick Mills dismissed...

Three strikes and you're out. It's all about the team. What a waste! Time for the kids that want to follow the rules to step and shine. "Q", Benson, and the Frosh will have their opportunity. Maybe CPJ knew something as far back as spring when he was holding out Mills and giving the other...

    Unexpected Recruiting Observation

I remember that several of our last or late additions to the class have really done well: Adam Gotsis; Zach Laskey; Clinton Lynch; and Brad Stewart come to mind.

    QB battle

Players are watching these tv interviews and they read what coaches say about them online. Don't think for a minute that CPJ isn't using this as motivation to get players to work even harder for their spots on the depth chart. GT hasn't had this much depth at QB and B-Back since Johnson hit...

    Preparing for Life After Football

Clemson is the reigning 2017 National Champions and deserve some love. But what sets them apart is that they do have that brand new whiffle bat diamond in their player facility along with the finest coloring book collection in the entire Power 5 Conference.

Hey is it time to talk Uni's

It doesn't really matter to me what the team wears in the opening game. However, in order to send a message to both the SEC and ACC, I want the entire coaching staff to wear those tech_wreck47 t-shirts that says: "GT Football-Cut Blocking since 2008." That should get into the psyche of the...

    T-shirt order

@ tech_wreck47: Thank you again very much for doing these t-shirts as I'm looking forward to wearing it at the Georgia Dome against the Vols. Hopefully it wasn't too much of a PIA. I know my Buddy will really enjoy wearing his as well. GT fans are the best!

Been thinking about the Searcy TD against uga

The first play OT Andrew Marshall misses his block and the play gets blown up. The second play OG Parker Braun can't get a block on the LB who blows up the play. While our left side OT Lee had a great block on his man knocking him off the line of scrimmage and out to the sideline on that...

Georgia Tech’s Inability to Land In-State Talent is Becoming Problematic

GT is a cross between what the best of the Ivy league and Military Academies Offer that happens to be the ONLY school of that type competing in a Power 5 Conference. The prediction of academic success has to be priority one otherwise a scholarship is wasted no matter how talented a player is...

    Unleashing CPJ's Offense

If you need 9 in the box to stop the run, then guess what happens when you have 2 DB's to cover 2 WR's and 2 AB's on seam routes down the middle? Unless you're the 2009 Iowa defense, or Bama under Saban, expect some problems. Looking forward to 2017. Although starting 2016 in Dublin was lots...

Target on Mills opens up the field

I have a "hunch" CPJ has seen every defense try to scheme against the B-Back going all the way back to Adrian Peterson at GSU. He had huge numbers and the best way to stop the triple option is to overmatch it with a top notch defense. Much like Iowa in the 2009 OB who had I believe 9 future...

    Preseason Accolades

That is a very nice accolade for Dedrick Mills heading into the 2017 season. But here's what's even better about it: Only Paul Johnson was recruiting him as a Running Back (B-Back)! Every other school wanted him to play LB! Kind of similar to Justin Thomas who was recruited by Bama and Saban...

    Tennessee Game 1

Butch Davis said after talking to Mike Stoops at Kentucky that: Tennessee will beat GT as we have more 4 stars talent than the Wildcats. Also, Kentucky wasn't very excited about playing against an ACC opponent especially at noon in a bowl game on New Years eve.
