I think all the time Jameis has spent preparing for legal defenses has in fact cut into his preparation time. Hence the increased numbers of interceptions and generally sporadic play.

I had this opinion too, but most of the media types are hedging their bets by just saying we'll put up a fight. I think most everyone is still picking FSU to win and make it to the playoff.

do you know this for a fact? I have heard other reports or instances in games where officials claimed they did not have an angle available that was available to the masses. Or at least it has to be requested. Also there are 3 prescribed people in the booth, the official, the communicator...

well considering they have monetary reasons to avoid making star ratings look like a crapshoot, I can understand them not pushing this angle. Then again the teams with the most recent success are all very near the top of that list so it might not have that effect. It would be nice to see.

I assumed that part of this fellow's job is to provide the angles available to the replay officials (who I'm not sure are in fact ACC). That would have an impact on how the replay is handled.

PJ gets criticized for his clock management a lot, and I've never understood it. I think he's really good. Against UNC people complained about not using timeouts, but I thoroughly believe we were trying to force them to kick the FG since their kicker's career long to that point was a 27 yarder.

I just worry about the edge blocking. We need someone in there to block the perimeter AND keep them honest on pass defense. Smelter is a huge piece of what we do, but next man up as they say.
