Jose or AD? Coach told the media Friday Jose was a groin, AD was an unspecified medical issue.

He was forced to take one of his 3's as the shot clock expired in the last game against Clemson. I think he has gotten the message, for the most part, not to shoot 3's. I mainly pointed out his 0-2 from 3 and 1-4 from the line against Clemson just as further evidence that that is the right...

Please, no Moses on the perimeter. I would like to see some 2 big line-ups; Banks/Wright or Banks/Obganda. I don't expect CGB (why do we call him that again?) to step up and lead the team. That's not to say he can't have a big game; it's just that if he does it will probably be off getting...

    AD's injury

I'm speculating, and I probably shouldn't, but I bet it is related. Coach was pressed on this in today's media session, and did not elaborate, but did seem to insinuate something came to light after the cramps. Hopefully its nothing too serious. Wishing AD all the best and full health.

And Banks getting 1 rebound all night, c'mon. That's another reason he doesn't need to be playing so far from the basket on offense like we were doing last night. Poor rebounding is contributing to a trend that is killing us. In our 4 ACC games, our opponents have taken 59 more shots than we have.

Poor Moses Wright actually scored 4 buckets, but all of them were in close to the basket. Dude went 0-2 from 3 and 1-4 on free throws. It scares the life out of me when he dribbles the ball. If he could figure out his strengths and weakness and the coaches could figure a way to use him close...

Clemson played well, especially Reed was awesome, but what really killed us was spotting them a 14-0 run and 7-0 run to start the first and second halves respectively. We basically spotted them a 21 point lead which made winning the game nearly impossible. Missing AD really hurt us after the...

I went to the game last year a few days after Christmas. I live in ATL, but I was in Indiana visiting wife's family for the holidays. I drove about an hour by myself to get to South Bend. It was 8 degrees and snowing. I didn't think anyone would come to a basketball game in that weather...

GT vs. Syracuse - Saturday, 6pm ET ESPN2

We are making things really hard on ourselves by giving up turnovers and offensive rebounds. Our opponents routinely get 15-20 shots per game more than we do. Luckily, we are on a streak where we are shooting over 50% and we are holding opponents to 30%. Imagine what we would have looked like...

That's what people were saying about VT, the 2nd best 3 point shooting team in the country. Funny how it seems to keep happening to teams when they play us. Knock on wood, I hope this trend continues.

GT vs. Syracuse - Saturday, 6pm ET ESPN2

Devoe does have a flat shot, and he may need to make some changes, but the misses at the free throw line are all mental right now. Watch his body language after the misses. He was over 80% up until that VT game. The last 2 games he has been off. He'll get it sorted.

    ACC Discussion

FSU giving it to duke right now. I totally agree with you ramblinred. I looked at our schedule after the VT game and thought we could end anywhere between 2 wins and .500 in conference.

GT (+8.0) vs. #10 Virginia Tech

Not placing offensive rebounders on the lane for free throws has been bugging me too. Pastner was asked about it on his call in show this past Monday and he acknowledged that it was a legit question/criticism, but he said that he prioritized getting back on defense over trying for offensive...

GT vs. Syracuse - Saturday, 6pm ET ESPN2

Good points about the physicality required to operate on the interior of the zone. I’m afraid we don’t have a wing player that can do it like Tadriq did. Alston... meh. Moses, this is exactly what he should be able to do, but it would probably give us all a heart attack watching him try. I would...

GT vs. Syracuse - Saturday, 6pm ET ESPN2

LOL... I forgot about that, so I had to google it. Found the audio from the CJP call in show where he tells the story. Funny coincidence... it was apparently #4 on cuse that we gave the AIRBALL chant, just like it was #4 on VT this past week. #4 on VT went 0-6 on 3P and 1-13 on FG. Pretty...

GT vs. Syracuse - Saturday, 6pm ET ESPN2

I think it was against cuse last year that we had success feeding the ball to Tadric Jackson on the interior of the 2-3 zone at or just above the free throw line, where he could shoot the mid-range jumper, kick it back out to the perimeter, or feed a post player or a baseline cutter coming from...
