We are actually getting better every game on the OL. We're still not very good and I think the body types will look much different a few years down the road.
Honestly, I was hoping for CGC's attitude to start wearing off on the fan base a bit more by now. It's not only the team that needs a culture change for us to be a successful program.
So what was it the past 8-9 years? We did a better job hiding our deficiencies, but make no mistake: our defense has been this bad or worse for a long time. This isn't news to any neutral observer. We've had 1 unexpected loss this year. Grow up.
Well, the secondary can only hold out so long. To get any pressure we're sending 6 and stunting. It's going to open holes up elsewhere. Need to drop some DL back in coverage more often rather than relying on overloading the protection. That's been working well when we do it.
I'm optimistic about the program. I'm seeing some improvement that tells me the coaching staff knows what they're doing. Our players are getting better. And the recruits committed will be night and day better.
We run a spread.
I'm gonna say bronco. I think UVA is a good fit for him. Richt may be more proven at this level and certainly brings some excitement to that program, but Al Golden was a good coach imo and that program is becoming a place where coaching careers go to die.
IIRC he was playing with an injury most of the season. I think his numbers will improve regardless. He didn't lose his talent overnight. Just had a rough go with the supporting cast and injuries.
