Won a little scratch thanks to NJ allowing online betting. (I was there for work yesterday and put money on us plus the points but also took the over. Ended up a little ahead overall)
Went to the game tonight. Was surrounded by Louisville faithful. They were pretty quiet given they never...
Pitt has no bigs. Moses should be a focus on offense. Banks should have 12-16 on putbacks and post ups. Both should have double digit rebounds. Key is to limit TOs (duh. Every game) and contain their perimeter guys (Johnson, Champagnie, McGowens and Murphy)
this is where CJPs refusal to develop the bench comes in. We have Jose, Devoe, Bubba and Usher. We also have Asanti, Shembari and Khalid. That’s seven kids we recruited out of HS or xfer who never see the court except in a crisis or a blowout
If we lose a big man, we will be in real trouble...
BC & Wake aren't surprises on the list, though I'm not sure if Wake pulls the trigger on Manning with the 8-figure (rumored) buyout figure. Would be surprised if Clemson cared enough about basketball to run Brownell out of town. especially after he won in Chapel Hill and beat Duke. I would...
Must be a typo... Syracuse has the number 2 next to their name. Almost as if they were in the top 5 nationally. When was that picture? 1987? ;)
Sorry. Had to give @CuseJacket a hard time
Take out Cremins. That leaves 6 NCAAT appearances in the history of mankind.
Sadly, Bobby was the greatest thing that will ever happen to Tech hoops. He was amazing and fun as hell to watch those teams play. Without him, we are lucky to get an invite once in a while.
Pastner also said our record is better than what it is. Whatever the hell that is supposed to mean
Almost as annoying as his habit of saying "verse" when he means "versus"
First step is to beat UVA on Saturday. Check that box and then focus on next game. Repeat.
I'll be there on Saturday, cheering for the win. Was there for ND too and thought we were going to pull it out. (Had money on us at -2.5 so it sucked doubly to lose)
analytics has taken over and it has produced the dunk or 3 pointer offenses we see now. In the 80's, the mantra was get the ball in the lane an shoot in close since every shot was worth 2 and (in theory) you shoot a higher % the closer you are to the hoop. Thus, 80s ball was all about...
That has been true in the past, but this year's team is far from that talent level. Look at the roster absent Cole Anthony. One player ranked as a 5* and in top 75 nationally. (I used Rivals rankings) They have four nice players, but they are a long way from having "best players in the...
@dtm1997 not sure if "journeyman" is the right word. Brooks is a junior. 4 ppg as frosh. 9 as soph. 12 this year. Not a big scorer. Gets most of his points of offensive rebounds or secondary break.
He's becoming a decent player but will never been a primary scoring threat. His...
I assume the Inside Carolina guys meant biggest halftime deficit for the Holes at home. They've lost games by more than 30 there, but halftime scores must've been closer than today. I certainly don't remember them ever being down 20+ points, twelve minutes into a game. Ever.
Thought we looked good in almost every aspect of the game. Devoe didn't have a good game but others played better than normal to make up for it. Shooting was better and turnovers weren't the albatross they've been this year.
Only real negative was our interior defense, esp on dribble...
