The secondary got beat badly a few times but you don’t get that many sacks after that long in the pocket without them having a lot of good coverage too on other plays.

I think the Alabama/Clemson examples are quite different than Saudi Arabia or similar. Football success -> more applications -> more enrolled people with more impressive transcripts is a material change. "Oh, this country is sponsoring all my favorite golf events, they're so cool and nice" is not.

It's not negative on its own but it's being used to discount the value of charisma and recruiting and sales ability and emphasize the importance of spending. But there are far more programs out there that can spend $$$$$ who aren't bringing in the players to turn things around that quickly. So...

I’m not in favor of a mid season firing but I think there’s more room for improvement there than some. Even if you keep the scheme the same, some coaches are better than others at teaching/training better execution. But I doubt that a midseason internal replacement would be a significant change...

Clock-wise I think so, but play calling-wise I don’t think so. If you can score fast, do it. The more plays you take on your drive the more chance you end up in a third down you fail to convert.
