I'm trying to hold-off on too many comments on this topic until I'm convinced the season is over, but I think this is 100% correct. It is time for a change, IMO.

Joking aside (and our performance today did cause me to lose a little motivation), I'm planning to look at it again tonight and see where I think things stand. My guess is that we are around 25% chance of making the tourney, but that is just a guess right now.

Prior to yesterday our total ERA was 6.39, which is 12th in the ACC. ACC average is 5.50, and the median is 5.66 None of our peripherals are great, but the primary driver to that high ERA is the amount of homeruns we surrender. We've allowed 81 so far (plus 3 or 4 yesterday), where league...

Might I have been too quick to eliminate Texas Tech? They beat Texas last night in the Big 12 tourney and their RPI jumped to 52. Their 12-17 record in Big 12 regular season and 3-13 in Quad 1 games made me ignore them, but perhaps with another win I'll need to add them to the bubble list.

Mississippi St scored 2 in the bottom of the 9th to beat Ole Miss 2-1 and end the Rebels season. They have an RPI in the 30's, but with a losing record overall are ineligible for consideration. Cal run ruled Washington in the PAC-12 tournament.
