I agree very rare, and I understand about head coaches making lots of money. But coordinators who call the plays and formations and have a chance to influence the margin of victory is a different story, especially in bowl games.

I watched the Oregon/Wisconsin game and I think corruption is possible even in the coaching ranks. Oregon scored in its first possession with a balanced attack easily. Then they went to a run game up the middle with very little success the rest of the game, crazy! Sure they won with a bobbled...
Dabo has co OC's and Venables as DC. Venables is a head case and is happy coaching Defense and is well treated. And having 2 OC's will help buffer the offense if one leaves. To me Dabo, seems to be well set for the future regarding coordinators.

Or maybe coach knew this year would be a disaster with whoever we played and he wanted Yates for 4 years with a better OL? We will not know how good Yates will be but I think with his one year in our system and what I have heard from his followers in HS, he will be hard to beat out at the...
The Syracuse loss was Dec 7 and Ball State Dec 18, both around finals. Being a Tech grad, I can certainly understand poor performances in December. And coach seemed to understand it as well as he seemed to not take it too seriously, and got hammered for that also. I would venture to guess...
I just think we would be at least 8-4 with a healthy Alvarado and we shouldn't lynch our coach over a key injury. And we have lots of possible upside with Usher and Bubba gaining experience in the new year. Another positive for this staff is the development of Moses and Devoe into top line ACC...
CJP ain't going anywhere for at least 2 years when we are smack in the middle of a major rebuild in our major sport, in my opinion. His 2021 recruiting class will be huge with regards to his future at Tech. If he can put together another good class back to back, and show improvement on the...
Actually, I kind liked what he did. He had a guy all over his back and he performed the most efficient move to get him off without endangering himself. No malice intended and a beautiful body slam! The announcer said flagrant 1 but could understand flagrant 2. I say move was necessary for...
I like to watch Usher play, he really enjoys the game, and ever so positive. Still trying to find himself with this team. He is getting a lot of rim outs (similar to golf lip outs), but I am sure they will soon be falling his way.

I am concerned about Jose's ankle playing 2 days in a row. I hope coaches keep a close eye on him and pull him if he shows any discomfort. Also I know that was an emotional event for the team yesterday and I hope they don't suffer an emotional let down today with little rest.
Go Jackets...
Really good coast to coast win for the team. This team may play lost without Jose' but great to see that the coaching staff has not lost the team as some posters have stated. Fun game to watch with Jose' and Usher's energy sparking the whole team.

So, the point I am trying to make is that if a player will never see meaningful time, it would be advantageous to him to consider dropping his football scholarship and spending his time more fruitfully gaining experience in the life he will be living by working. Tech, being located in Atlanta...
What if the employer is not a "benefactor"? What is definition of "benefactor". Even the NCAA can't keep a former SA from working. The "non benefactor " employer could be a friend of a "benefactor " and the "benefactor" could reciprocate the favor in some way. I would bet my a** that this kind...
Could a benefactor employ a SA who gives up his scholarship so that he has the means to earn income to pay for his education so he can finish his degree?
