Yes I was joking but I do understand why the ESPNs of the world would not think that it would garner significant viewership. I truly hope that changes.
Seems we constantly have what I would call subsets of data arguments on this board. We compare previous coaches records over various periods of time, sliced and diced and then those are critiqued based on what argument one is trying to support. I guess this is natural for Tech grads which I am...
I wouldn’t think that Uga coaches would need to make any additional effortt to keep the players grades down other than insuring accurate testing results ;)
Actually I want to see him lay some cornerbacks out. Once the cornerbacks are worried about getting the crap knocked out of them it will be easier to get separation by faking a block.
Agreed but if our backups become closer in performance to the starters then they would certainly play more, if only when a starter has been "dinged" up and not quite 100%. Hopefully we will have some backups with little drop off this year because there is little doubt they will be needed.
I think it is important to note how CPJ uses criticism. The starters on o-line are certainly a known entity to CPJ. He also has a good grasp of the backups that have been around a few years. Getting the backups to be close in performance to the starters would provide the depth we need for a...
The aback blocking (and Shaq's) on the O Bowl team was the most impressive thing about that offense. I could have run (or waddled) through some of those holes. Excellent open field blocking against the athletes our guys go up against is a difficult technique to master.
Good point. No matter how much I dislike the player or the team I will never wish that any players experience a horrible injury. Therefore I just want them to get horribly sick right before they play us. ;)
I have thought the same thing. Historically it has seemed that the teams that can occasionally disrupt and get a tackle for loss against us are the most effective at stopping our drives. When our offense can get a few positive yards each play, we wear them down. I am sure that the coaches have...
To me it seems that there are clear constraints for anyone coaching at Tech whether it is limited majors, tougher entrance requirements, difficult academics, smaller fan base, limited funds etc. because of those facts I tend to feel that CPJ does a great job. He fields tough competitive teams...
I’m always pretty optimistic but this year if we aren’t injury plagued, I think we will have our best offense since the Orange Bowl. If the new defensive coach is successful it could be a great year.
Wish I could “like” this one 100 times. I am literally sitting in 1D right now on my way to Pittsburgh. I might have waited until after she had served me though;)
