Agreed with the SEC being out of whack, but also there is probably more riding on that game for both teams than any other matchups except Oregon and Washington since both teams have a shot at the playoff. Kinda weird the PAC price is so low though.
Does the money from the conference...
Which is proving my point? They aren't leaving because times got tough and they don't want to compete, they are leaving for grad school or to get paid.
I'm not sure most people doing this are even waiting that long. 1-2 years seems to be more and more common.
The only guys who are leaving because things got tough/don't wanna compete are guys buried on the depth chart.
Working from home is great, you should try it.
Most of them don't want to...
I think I had them flipped originally, but multiple ranking systems have Bowling Green 15ish spots or more ahead of Wake Forest, sitting 70-85 vs Wake at ~95, and they did beat us where Wake lost to us.
Perhaps I misunderstood, was the discussion not about whether uga or Tech had a tougher schedule?
And uga. uga is part of our schedule, I'm not sure why they keep being left off.
If I were to rank both schedules combined, from easiest to hardest opponents:
SC State
UT-Martin
Ball State
Vandy...
Ball State and UAB are both 4-8, they are both weaker than BG.
We kicked off the season with 2 top 15 teams in the first 3 weeks. uga didn't play a top 15 team until November. We played 4 top 25 teams including a top 5, they played 3 top 25 teams.
Our schedule was unquestionably harder.
Only rumors, but I have heard from a friend of a friend of a guy who's dog goes to the same vet as the dog belonging to the mother of the nanny for a well connected donor's college roommate that we are replacing every defensive coach except MAYBE Marco Coleman.
Anthony Autry got dismissed from the team for violating team rules shortly after Myles signed with Tech, and Myles asked for a release. Looks like both went to Hutchinson CC and Anthony ended up at Texas A&M - Kingsville, and Myles ended up at De Anza CC in NorCal.
TBH I don't think Tatum in the portal would be NIL related at all. He had 38 tackles (15 solo), 4 for a loss, and 1 pass deflection after starting all 12 games. Those aren't stats that get you NIL money, those are stats where you are more likely to lose your job.
For comparison:
Efford had 72...
He won 1 conference game, has no wins against a team with a winning record, and 3 of his 4 wins were by 3 points, two of which he had to come from behind to win in the 4th/OT, and the other was tied before the go ahead FG. He was closer to having more losses than he was to having more wins...
And the year after, when Shedeur goes to the NFL and Deion leaves? All of that will go away. Everything I have seen suggests Deion is just a much more famous version of Geoff Collins when it comes to coaching, which is to say he doesn't seem to actually do any coaching. He is not building...
Alabama has some really ugly wins against Arkansas (24-21) who went 4-8 and Auburn (27-24) who went 6-6. An "ugly" win over a 10 win Louisville should not matter at all, as long as its a win they should be in. Taking an Alabama team that got beat by 2 scores by Texas over an undefeated FSU is...
