  1. 2022-23 men's schedule is set

Manageable schedule. Duke, UNC, FSU and UVA all just once. If we are trying to dance no room to muck up early on.
  2. Who will be our leading scorer this year?

Maxwell has to work on his “availability”. If he is available I could see him making a move. But he has to be a lot more available than he has been
  3. Who will be our leading scorer this year?

FWIW, most 4 out sets have the 5 at the foul line similar to the modified Princeton but then they do a lot of ball screens or down screens to start the offense. They can roll or move to the block after that. Even when you see 5's set up on the baseline they normally will come out from there to...
  4. Who will be our leading scorer this year?

Just because of the way the game is now played you have to expect either Debo or Kelly will be the leading scorer. Hard to see a 5 or a classic 4 such as Franklin leading the pack. The dark horses would be Terry or Maxwell if they come on stronger than we (or at least I) expect.
  5. When does Pastner feel heat

He is likeable, engaging, a bit goofy and plays well with the GT fanbase overall Nothing is going to happen with Pastner until the football situation declares itself Despite the likeability, GT was second lowest in home attendance with 4700 per game. That is an issue. One trip to the NCAAs in 6...
  6. Lineup for 2022-23

Play all your games in phone booths?:p
  7. Lineup for 2022-23

This year's roster is not the get old/stay old strategy CJP has wanted and is a clear transition year with a lot of question marks that will have to show significant improvements this year for us to get a sniff of top half of the ACC. While pretty consistent with others, I look at this roster...
  8. Moses Wright

His shot is much better. Nice pick and pop player
  9. New assistant coach

Interesting we got him on a basically lateral move after Wilkins got the Assistant HC role.
  10. College Basketball NIL Discussion

I have second hand info that Roy and K called it quits in large part due to that drama. Their time was close to up - no question - just accelerated it
  11. College Basketball NIL Discussion

Peck is $800K for 2 years. Wong is reportedly $80K per year from the same guy. Nice to have leverage at the top of the portal rankings Laranaga is going to have his hands full with this locker room
  12. College Basketball NIL Discussion

I don't think that is correct. Any endorsement contract can have stipulations that the contract requires the endorser meet specific obligations such as be on a particular TV show, attend a certain school, etc. That is part of what brings value to the arrangement. And specific to NIL deals...
  13. College Basketball NIL Discussion

The Miami sugar daddy who is signing all these deals said that Wong is already on a "very fair" contract with him and he isn't going to renegotiate.
  14. College Basketball NIL Discussion

If you didn't see it, this article by the ND AD is well worth the read https://www.si.com/college/2022/04/23/notre-dame-jack-swarbrick-division-1-change There are several quotes that jump out at me: fracture lines within the 130-member FBS could leave two disparate approaches: schools that...
  15. College Basketball NIL Discussion

Can you tell me what the NCAA NIL guidelines are? Blank piece of paper?
  16. College Basketball NIL Discussion

NBA minimum is over a mil Any first round pick is over 2
  17. Coaching Carousel 7 - When life gives you lemons, squirt someone in the eye

I expect he doesn’t want to deal with NIL and portal. His world has changed. I know those were issues for Roy and K - recognizing that there time was pretty much up anyway. I think you are going to see a lot of the old guard decide to retire. Kind of surprised Boeheim and Laranaga haven’t
  18. Devoe and Ush at the Portsmouth Invitational

I will be curious to see if either of them moves up in the mock drafts due to their performances at Portsmouth.
  19. Devoe and Ush at the Portsmouth Invitational

There is a crapton of $$$ available for guys who can stick as an 8/9 guy on a roster who can provide energy on the second team - play good D, run the floor and make the shots that become available. Would love to see him get there
