I was at that super regional too when I was 8. I'm ready to watch us win another one in person. I got to be a bat boy for one game during that year too and have a mini helmet signed by all of the players and coaches.

Hell of a sweep! Great opening weekend to ACC play. Definitely need to throw more strikes, but I actually really like our pitching depth and starters this year. It was also really nice to see King get a strikeout. We need him going forward.

I also really like thw way Barfield has thrown so far. I wasn't expecting much from him this year, but he looks like a solid option.

They had an awful year this year, but I really didn't think he did that bad of a job there until this year.

To me, it looks like the rotation is Strider, Fried, Morton, Sale, and Lopez.

I don't put that uga one on Jones. He pitched well until he got tired in the 9th after he pitched the day before when he shouldn't have. We didn't have anybody we could go to after him though, and Hall pretty much had to leave him in for the 9th.

Nice win on the road! Ballard is legit. I really like our starting rotation this year, but the bullpen really needs to get sorted out. It looks like Jones and McKee are the only ones that can be trusted right now to consistently get outs. I like Stanford and Gaudette's stuff but they struggled...

I think you're talking about Cam Jones and not Cam Hill. Jones is a reliever and Hill is a starter

Won the second game 17-7. Pitching has been solid this weekend with just a couple of guys looking pretty bad. McKee is the real deal though and might should get a shot at closer.

I will say that I think McGuire and Finateri will both be studs for us this year. I also really like Ballard in the weekday spot. As for the bullpen though, I am very concerned and don't have much optimism. The freshmen have looked good but the seniors haven't which is not a recipe for success...

The one positive that I have is that I really like our young pitchers. We have some freshmen and RS freshmen that have good stuff and throw strikes. The problem is that our seniors don't do this out of the pen.

I was thinking maybe it was based on the breaking pitches of the two pitchers. So maybe the first guy has a good slider or curve which plays into a lefty but the other guy might have had a good change up which plays into a righty. This is a stretch on my end but reasoning that makes sense to me...

Zmarzlak has looked good there though. And if you take Ellis out of the catcher spot, that is probably where he would go.

Lovett can start, and I have heard the staff is high on Neises. The problem is Lovett is an outfielder and Nieses plays first. 2 positions that we are already set at.
