Something @dressedcheeseside said in the Fall Camp thread I believe in a discussion with @33jacket got me thinking. 33j was saying that with CPJ here the recruiting ranking on offense is never going to be very accurate, and then DCS said that the main question he asks in recruiting is "are we...
Yes, I think CPJ was talking about Branch also. But, that is a little confusing because Pelton said in his recent interview that Branch had put on some good weight. Maybe "slimmed down" and "put on some good weight" are compatible.
Wasn't Jaylend Ratliffe (sp??) also a 4* with some service before his accident? He was a big deal when he committed (I'm imagining a bigger Jay Jones who had passing form like Lucas Johnson). I can imagine a much different sort of conversation happening this offseason if not for that fateful...
I'm not sure that's true. Athletes get priority for choosing their classes. I majored in Industrial, and we had guys major in other engineering majors. Sean Bedford majored in AE (along with ChemE, probably the hardest major at Tech). I think it's definitely doable from a logistics...
An interesting play call in this position on the field.
One thought I had: I think Jordan and JT get about the same amount of yards on this play. There wasn't a whole lot of room, but there was a little bit of space. JT got his yards by maneuverability and Jordan would've probably gotten...
51 and 99 didn't have to go far to line up for the next play since this was a 9 yard gain and they were driven 9 yards off the ball.
Marshall got just enough.
Slightly better timing/spacing between JJ and Clinton and this is a much bigger play.
15 played this about as well as you could play it...
And, I love you for that. Maybe it should be in all of our signatures. I wish it would start trending on Twitter. Something like: "Hey football factory recruits #Auburn #Clemson #Bama #UGA #OhSt #OleMiss, come to GT and #BeYourOwnBagMan." I'm sure somebody can do something better than I...
More personal thoughts (Highly Speculative): I think SOME of it has to do with a man's conviction. Is a man primarily driven by ethics or by greed - this is admittedly an oversimplification. One could say that everyone is ethically driven, but simply have different sets of ethics, or often...
41 had a long day. Brilliant piece of running by Lynch. Good blocking by all. These plays often remind me of a kickoff return, just block that whole side and pick your lane.
I don't think so. I think the only rule is that when you block toward the middle (like this would be) you have to stay high (no cut blocks - which isn't when we cut anyway).
Should've been a completion. All I can hear is Gruden (to Dobbs): "Tell me what was going through your mind when that ball was snapped."
I like what Nebraska did here - sending 6 at first, but then dropping 1 back into the hook - freed the DE rusher, and made the QB have one more thought (the...
LEVERAGE - the blame belongs to the CB here - you're the flank, nothing gets outside of you. At least that's the way it appears. If it's man coverage, then I take it back.
My gosh, that UT WR could've killed one of those Neb inside defenders with a crack block.
Stewart was pretty open on the drag/dig. Jeune was still a good choice because he had the guy beat with good inside position. It could've been a big play with just putting the ball anywhere on the inside. I actually think this was a valuable one to show, because it may be the worst pass I've...
