Although I don’t think Clem/USC is strongly analogous to GT/ugag, I share your hope. The problem is that in numerous ways it is more difficult to recruit to Tech. If Tech switched its academics with that of Clemson it would make all the difference in the world but Texh wouldn’t be Tech.

I was working in Miami when the Iowa orange bowl game occurred. The hotel didn't have heat (evidently few do) and I woke up in the night freezing mu rear end off and tried to adjust the thermostat which of course was useless. Not the best Miami trip for me or Tech.

I was surprised and pleased by how positive CPJ’s comments were. He is typically noncommittal with his projections and for him the say he thinks it is a good fit without adding a qualification of some type makes me more optimistic.

For some schools like ugag you would need additional positive categories like “learned to read, attended class, can perform long division and can speak in complete sentences” so that they at least have a positive score.
