I wouldn't say a good shot at the ACCCG. They need to win out, and have help from other teams and then it will probably depend on tie-breakers. They can only control what they do. They can be eliminated even if they win out if two teams have one or fewer losses. They can be eliminated based...
I sit not far from @awbuzz . The volume wasn't a problem at my seats Saturday night. It has been some in the last few years, and I have complained about it. The volume has been loud. In addition to that, the mid frequencies 2-4k were much louder than the lower frequencies which made it ear...
Where I went thru she was using a handheld device. I had the ticket open on the phone. She put the hand held device against my phone, but it didn't work. She had be pull up the code and scanned the code. That worked. However, it must have automatically scanned in all three of my tickets...
I am saying that the selection committee for the NCAA basketball tournament does not exclude any teams who "qualified" for the tournament. They don't have the ability to exclude the Patriot League champion because they know that they are not one of the top 68 teams in the country.
EDIT: There...
I think the argument about no other major sport is referencing pretty much everything other than FBS football. Teams "qualify" for the playoffs in every other sport that I know of. There are other NCAA sports where at large teams can enter the playoffs. However, none of those require a poll...
NCAA tournament includes all conference champions. Sure they have expanded to a ton of at large bids, but every single team in NCAA division 1 has an opportunity make the 2025 conference at this point.
For college football, it is much more limited even with the 12 team playoff.
The at-large bids would take care of that. Does the NFL exclude the AFC South from the playoffs simply because the AFC North is much stronger? No, the division champions get in automatically. There are wild card spots for good teams in deep divisions.
I also don't think that is a separate...
The ACC is currently letting the Big12 control the narrative about the third conference. The Big12 can't back it up, but they are still pushing the narrative. The ACC needs to market itself.
It is accurate that Mississipi was a bottom of the barrel SEC team in 2008? Or is it accurate that Mississippi was an example of how deep the SEC was in 2008 and that any SEC team can beat any SEC team? I am asking because those can't both be true, but they were both pushed in 2008 only three...
Miss State gets the credit for being an SEC team. Arkansas gets the credit for being an SEC team. Kentucky gets the credit for being an SEC team. Auburn gets the credit for being an SEC team. All of those teams have had some good years in the past couple of decades, but none of them have...
It wasn't prevalent until the mid 2000s. The SEC only made 2 BCS title games in the first 8 years. Undefeated Auburn was left out of the game in 2004. I think the SEC learned that they needed to lobby and make noise to get the rankings up and ensure a spot in the championship game. After...
I don't think he is trying to control what the media says about GT. I think he is trying to control the culture of the team. If he tells the team to concentrate only on what they are doing right now, but is on the media talking about extraneous things, it looks hypocritical. When they are...
I think the chances are much better now that the conference champions will all be 1-2 losses maximum because of the removal of divisions. However, in my comment I specifically said that an undefeated conference champion will not be left out. Maybe I am wrong, but I don't see how an undefeated...
I don't think I have heard him say it exactly this way, but what I get from what Key says is -- Concentrate on doing your assignment on this play. Don't worry about the current score. Don't worry about being burned on the last play. Don't worry about the last game. Don't worry about the next...
Tells me that the SEC schedule is set up so that the top ranked teams don't have to play each other very often. Would the SEC actually work their schedule in such a way that highly ranked teams intentionally end the season with good records? It wouldn't project that way too far into the...
