Key will need to recruit at a level almost never seen at GT for any significant success. There is nothing in his coaching history to support doing superior things with mostly 3 star guys. Maybe if he finds a special OC & DC, my analysis will be wrong.

Key is definitely not inept like our previous HC, but as I’ve said ad nauseum, he is personally responsible for the OL in my mind the past 4+ years. It is terrible generally. I haven’t seen anything to make me believe he is the special coach, the guy who can do more with less, that GT needs.

Well, I knew it would take a turnover free game, containment of their mobile QB, & excellent tackling. Zero for 3. In my mind, we are playing a little below our talent level. At GT, it is imperative that we have coaches that keep us consistently playing above our talent.

So many Tech fans need confirmation & encouragement. I guess it’s a sign of the times. If we tackle well, don’t turn the ball over, & don’t lose contain on their athletic QB too often, I think we win. Lots of ifs.

No matter where our program ends up, and right now it seems like the dumpheap of history, as we have switched places with Dook, I will always be appreciative that CPJ gave me and my children some awesome memories & moments with GT football. I’m glad I have those memories to cherish.

We probably are a 3-4 win team. I really think the decision $$ people at GT know absolutely nothing about college football at a STEM school.

Everyone has shared their concerns with D & special teams, and they are well-warranted. But, am I the only person who has no confidence in the RZ offense? I can’t believe we don’t have one big bruiser at RB.
