  1. Has fan apathy already set in?

Fan apathy? Not according to the attendance figures which is the ultimate sign post for any football program. Perhaps, a good bit of reality smacking people upside the head realizing that we probably will not be competitive for quite a while, maybe a couple of years. That would drive fan...
  2. North Carolina Postgame

He must be doing something right, they keep him around. I guess they could go back to Roof or Carl Franks or not.
  3. North Carolina Postgame

That is true but he has owned us lately and has raised Duke to a level not seen since Spurrier was there in the late 80s. He must be doing something right.
  4. North Carolina Postgame

Miami, Wake, Pitt, and Duke are private schools with scattered alumni. Dodd said that one reason he favored getting into the ACC was that there were many schools that were either private or like Tech a second state school such as Virginia Tech and NC State. Come to think of it, the ACC...
  5. North Carolina Postgame

They make it work, such as it is, by having the best coach in the conference, excellent assistants, and a pretty wide recruiting net that targets, among other places, the 404. That sort of nonsense has got to stop. Coach Collins and his staff need to grab every good to great recruit in metro...
  6. North Carolina Postgame

This is true however, we still do not have enough defensive linemen who would be game changers. Linemen, linemen, and more linemen. I don't care how fast they are more receivers, defensive backs, and running backs are not going to get it done.
  7. North Carolina Postgame

This game was not nearly as close as the final score would indicate. They had almost 600 yards total offense and were running at will in the second half.
  8. North Carolina Postgame

It will be at least two years, possibly three before the fruits of improved recruiting began to take effect throughout the lineup. IIWII
  9. North Carolina Postgame

Perhaps but I like UVA's quarterback more. UNC may have the edge on the line. It should be quite a matchup.
  10. North Carolina Postgame

Their receivers are very good, the best we have seen since Clemson. Their offensive line is prototype for that offense. Huge guys with long arms and quick feet. It was difficult to get pressure on the quarterback which is why they were able to convert a bunch of third and long plays. They...
  11. North Carolina Postgame

After the game, Mack was complaining about receivers dropping balls. They could have rung up at least a touchdown more on us. In the third quarter it was still respectable until UNC converted a third and ten and a fourth and long. Too much to overcome. We need to keep games in the twenties...
  12. North Carolina Postgame

I am afraid that Virginia Tech has found themselves a quarterback. Miami's fans are ready to fire Manny, the DC, the OC, the line coaches, the AD, the water boys, everybody in sight.
  13. Bright spots...

I don't know what to say except that I don't really think UNC is that good. But after watching VT and Miami, I don't like our chances against either one of them either.
  14. Bright spots...

I am not sure there is a bright spot when your team gives up nearly 600 yards total offense and 38 points but for the people who wanted balance in the offense well, there was a lot of that. Graham has settled the quarterback spot, Mason ran hard and that's about it. There is a long road ahead...
  15. North Carolina vs. Georgia Tech Predictions #UNCvsGT

30 points? I would take that bet. UNC might beat us, they might beat the spread, but there is no way they are going to score 30 plus points on our defense... I don't think they will anyway.
  16. North Carolina vs. Georgia Tech Predictions #UNCvsGT

They can get pressure on the quarterback and we can't. Our offense will be the old standby "Chuck and Duck". Carolina wins and covers the spread.
  17. Film Study OFF scheme vs. Temple

I know the feeling. My daughter works for the Atlanta Opera and it is literally all she wants to talk about even though she is as far away from the action as you can get being some sort of handler, fixer for one of the big wigs.
  18. Last night's radio show

Sounds like an empire builder of the worst sort. A really despicable human being. I trust you were none the worst for wear being exposed to him.
  19. Film Study OFF scheme vs. Temple

I make an innocent, off the cuff comment and would be theatre critics come out of the woodwork.
  20. Film Study OFF scheme vs. Temple

So it seems. Don't blow a gasket. It's not worth it and anyway this play has many more acts to go.
