I agree. In this game, there were several 3rd and short situations where we ran wide instead of the dive or midline however overall we've done well this year on 3rd done. For the most part, I though Pitt emphasized defending the wide plays.

True statement! As we were moving into the ACC, we had the worse records in the 80 and 81 seasons in both football and basketball. We were also transitioning from Pepper Rogers and Dwayne Morrison to Bill Curry and Bobby Cremins. I'm glad that things got better later in the decade.
